Remarks
For admission one need needs to appear in the JEXPO entrance examination while in/ after class 10th, and appear for the councelling based on the rank achieved. All the details are posted on the WBSCTE website. For 2019, the last round admission cut offs went to around 22k. A rank within 14k, is good enough to get selected in the first round of councelling.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Computer science and Technology Department in the college is a reputed one. The faculty is very good. Around 5-6 main subjects are there in each semester with a minimum of 2 practical lab subjects. The faculty for the department is enough and we'll be qualified, guidance and help are given to each student. There are two internal, one end semester, and an external assessment held in each semester.
Placement Experience
Students in the last year are given placement opportunities. For the year 2022 around 60 job profiles were offered to the students. Most of the students however opt for higher studies in engineering and architecture.
Fees and Financial Aid
College fees are 1500 per Semester, excluding the semester registration fee which is to be done by self every semester. An average of 5-6 k/month is the living cost around the college areas. The Oasis scholarship is available for students belonging to SC/ST. Also, the Vivekananda scholarship is available for everyone.
Campus Life
A fresher's and social event is held in every session. Other than that Saraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja, Independence Day, Republic day, Teacher's day and Holi are some of the occasions celebrated every year. The library has enough good books for the students, in addition to those included in the syllabus for each course. Well-maintained classrooms and separate drawing rooms and common rooms on each floor, 2 well-equipped conference rooms. Labs for each department as required. 4 computer labs. Intra- college and Inter-college sports events are held each year.
