Remarks

I cleared JEE mains examination to get admitted to this college. After getting the results you need to wait for the counseling to begin i.e. JAC( JOINT ADMISSION COUNSELING). After participating in the various rounds of counseling you can select a seat if you're eligible for it. The cutoff for the computer engineering branch in DTU is about 7k for general Delhi candidates and varies every year. Yes, one can avail benefits of reservation if he/she has proper certificates for the same. The admission process is long and takes about a month or two, so it would be better if the time could be reduced.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because at my rank this was the best possible option. Also, DTU ( formerly known as DCE) is an esteemed institution with good faculties and other facilities. The teaching faculties are quite experienced here, for example, you might have heard of Professor Dr. HC Taneja. He's the HOD of the mathematics dept. at DTU. We only get a month to prepare for our end-term examination after giving our midterm exams, and the syllabus is also completed by the teachers. But studying efficiently and solving past year papers, helps a ton and one can get good marks in the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students get a lot of internship opportunities, both on campus and off campus. The highest stipend is given by Sprinklr at about 2lpm to a software developer, followed by Google, Microsoft, etc. Sprinklr only takes about 10-20 students as their interns while Google takes about 60. Getting an internship is more difficult than getting placed, cause the companies only take about 10% of students from the campus including reserved vacancies for girls.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are very good here. Tech giants like Google Microsoft ADOBE, etc. come every year to hire students and offer them good pay. Students are eligible for internships in their third year and if the student can't get an internship on-campus, he/she can try off-campus internships. Placement season begins in the fourth year when a lot of companies come and interview the students. The highest package is offered by SPRINKLE, followed by Google and Microsoft.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is affordable, and students can easily get a student loan if they aren't able to pay the fee. Also if one gets the highest GPA in a semester in his/her class he is awarded a scholarship of about 50-60k. Also, students get a lot of opportunities to get an internship in a good company starting from their third year. Tech giants like Google and Microsoft come annually to hire interns from DTU.

Campus Life

4.5

DTU is known for its amazing campus life and fests. Dtu has about a 170 acres campus area, consisting of A library, two auditoriums an OAT, A huge sports complex, and many other things. Social life in this college is really good, seniors interact a lot with the freshers and also guide them in their career paths. Clubs and societies are very active here and take auditions or interviews every year to take in interested candidates. The best thing that happens in DTU is THE ENGIFEST and which occurs around April or May. It's the largest cultural fest in Northern India. Many celebrities come to perform on our campus, and the cultural clubs also play their role in making this event a huge success. In the end, I would like to say that, if you're looking for a great campus life along with a good placement, you should opt for DTU.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
