Remarks
The cut-off ranks is getting higher and higher every passing year because of increasing seats. The admission procedure was quite smooth for me. I got cse in dtu 2nd round and then locked it then and there. Everything is available on the JAC website and a number of videos on youtube are also available regarding the admission procedure.
Course Curriculum Overview
Courses are quite standard just like any other government colleges like nits and iits. The faculty-student ratio is also okay. You can get the attention of any teacher if and only if you are willing to get it else you are on your own. The faculty's qualifications are not impressive other than old professors, most of the teachers are new. Only a few teachers are willing to teach on board, some come and tell stories and scroll through ppts but you can understand things in class if you put in the effort and you can clear your doubts in class too.
Placement Experience
Dtu offers internships at the beginning of 3rd year. I myself got an internship in a big company. All the big names come here to hire interns. In my batch alone, people are placed in amazon, google, sprinkler, and Microsoft. Since the internship at dtu is very good, the placements are obviously exceptional.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are also the same as other government colleges which are around 2 lacs per year. Some of my friends got scholarships most probably because they belonged in ews category but scholarships come from time to time.
Campus Life
The campus is one of the best things about dtu. You can roam around the whole college as late as 10 pm even if you don't stay in a hostel. The campus is very large and filled with greenery. There are many places where you can eat which are very cheap.
Other Applied Colleges
IIT Ropar - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITR] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
