Remarks
For applying in B-Tech one should have cleared the respective cutoff of jee mains exam or another entrance exam is cuet. With a decent percentile in jee mains, you will be able to enroll for the computer science branch(approx 85-90 depending on your category also). You will find out the application form, fees, and dates on the website of Kiet and also there will be a helpline number provided through which further you may resolve your queries on a single call. Reservation is as per the categories and also there is a fee waiver seat for those who come under general ews and others. Counseling will be done offline on campus after you freeze your seat. I don't think that there is any further improvement needed for the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had a keen interest in computers and technology so I just wanted to explore something new and creative bcoz engineering is just using your creative mind and building something that can create a positive impact on human lives. That's why I opted for this course. In each department there will be 15-20 faculties and students will be approximately 225 so the ratio is 1:15. Teachers are well qualified enough to make your expertise in their respective subject. Though the teaching method is quite boring. Each sem ends up in 4-5 months approx with three ct and pue and then there will be an end sem conducted by Aktu.
Placement Experience
Previous year 14 students got an offer from Amazon worth 44lpa. While this year there has been a disastrous change in no. of offers provided by the companies. There is also a certain decline in the no. and figures of placement. The highest package is 44lpa from the CSE branch while avg package for the CSE branch is 5lpa approx. 90% of students get placed. There is also a separate placement cell on the Kiet campus. My plan is to get placed in any product-based company after completing my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for B tech students is 1st year- Rs.136499, 2nd year- Rs.119499, 3rd year- Rs.120799, 4th year- Rs. 122299, The up Scholarship, form is filled out by the students, and every year through which the up govt will provide you reimbursement of fees and scholarship sums up to Rs.64000 approx for the general category. While it is more for any other categories.
Campus Life
I would say campus life is not that happening for those who are excited about the cultural fests, annual fest, or any other functions bcoz you will not gonna enjoy a single annual fest in this college. In the duration of my 4 years, of course, only a single event fresher is conducted which was also not well organized. Books are available in the central library also you can issue them for 5 days then you have to return or reissued them. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned, and digital board is also there in each class. Labs are well maintained. All of the PCs are in working condition. There is not so much focus on any sports and extracurricular activities on campus. There are several social groups and clubs also, they are having their Instagram handles where you can also watch the activities. Clubs are uddeshya, Kiet music club, Kiet drama society, vpaksh, etc. Some technical clubs are DSC, inno geeks.
