DTU from a 3rd Year CSE students perspective

The admission process was based on our JEE Mains score. The complete admission process was carried out online through the JAC Delhi portal. The cutoff was 105,00 for General students for admission to the Computer Engineering branch but it was 1,06,000 for SC students. The admission process was smoothly carried out over the course of a month on the JAC Delhi portal without any hassle.

Computer Engineering is the best course offered by DTU and is one of the most widely sought-after courses in the world. It has the best placements among all engineering branches. DTU has a student-faculty ratio of around 1:100. Most of the faculty is highly qualified and they share their experiences too, for example, Our faculty used to give us insights on Corporate Life. There are mid-term and End term exams which are conducted as scheduled at the start of the semester. The exams are not very difficult to pass and you can get a good score by studying for 8-9 days before exams.

Top companies come to our campus for internships. The stipends are as follows Sprinklr - 2lakh per month Microsoft - 1.25 lakh per month DE Shaw - 1.5 lakh per month Uber - 1.6 lakh per month Goldman Sachs - 1 lakh per month Adobe - 1 lakh per month and many more. Most companies offer an SDE role, but there are some companies offering Analyst roles.

DTU has an excellent placement record. The Computer Engineering branch has a 100% placement record. Top-tier companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google, CodeNation, Sprinklr, Amazon, Flipkart and many more visit our campus for placements offering mouth-watering packages. 385+ companies visit our campus with 2400+ offers and 2000+ students getting placed. Apple Inc. offers the highest domestic package of 64 LPA and Amazon has the highest international offer of 1.15 Cr. The Average CTC offered is 15lpa and 400+ offers are of more than 20lpa. My plan after the degree are to get a good placement in a well-reputated company.

The fee is 2,19,000 for the 2022-23 session. There is a fee hike of 7-8% each year as our fee was 2,05,000 for the 2021-22 session. This cost might seem a little high but it's on par with other government engineering colleges. There are various scholarships provided by Delhi Government and various fee relief policies offered by the college itself. Seats are reserved for EWS(Economically weaker section) students. The college offers USIP Internships which you have to do under Professors in fields like Web Development, Writing etc which have a stipend of 5,000-7,000.

DTU is very famous for its joyous campus life. DTU's annual fest called Engifest is one of India's biggest fests conducted in the month of February. There are a number of tech fests conducted throughout the year, as well as a number of other cultural fests in addition to the annual fest. Most course books are available in the library and can be issued by the students. The classrooms are equipped with ACs and projectors. DTU is also equipped with great sports facilities. There is a basketball court, tennis court, a football field, a cricket ground and a 400m running track. The indoor sports complex includes table tennis, pool, badminton etc. DTU also has its own gym. There are various cultural societies that you can join like, Madhurima - The music society, Pratibimb - The dramatics and filmmaking society, Vibe Dance crew, Kalakriti - THe fine arts society, and Nrityangana - Classical dance society.
