A College for Great Placements

The minimum requirement for application is 75% individual and aggregate score in the 12th board examination. JEE entrance examination was required and JAC Delhi counselling was done to allot seats to students according to rank. The application fee was less than 2000 which was refundable if the college was not joined through the counselling and would be adjusted in the fees for the college if joined. Following selection, a 90,000 deposit was to be made to JAC which would be deducted from the first-year college fee.

I chose this course because it provides the quickest path to getting a high-earning job. There are approximately 70 students in each classroom. The teachers aren't the best, but most have the best interest of the student in mind and are quite approachable. The examinations are extremely easy to pass, but a little difficult to score full marks in. Students are easily able to study in the last week leading up to the exams to cover the entire syllabus and pass comfortably. Overall the studies are not the main focus.

All top companies offer internship opportunities. Some companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, and Sprinklr select 20+ students every year. Overall not all students get an internship offer through campus placements but those who do get a great earning opportunity for the summer and then usually get extended a full-time offer (Pre-Placement offer) upon completion of the internship. This is all in the context of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Technology branches

Campus placements are the highlight of this college. The students finishing their 4th semester are eligible for internship placements and the students finishing their 6th semester are eligible for full-time job placements. The internships offered are around 500, so not everyone will be placed, but in full-time placements, there are plenty of offers for everyone to take advantage of. The offers received by Computer Engineering students and related Information Technology and Software Engineering branches are the highest in pay and average about 50,000 stipends in internships and 18 LPA in full-time offers. The highest packages are usually international offers and reach 1-2 Cr.

There is a significant fee reduction for those needing. There are also internship opportunities with the professors of the college which pay around 3000-3500 per month. The fee has been trending upward for the last few years but it is in line with the rest of the colleges.

The annual fest has been cancelled for the last few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tech fests which were restricted to only DTU students have been held and they are great. Some good performances by creative societies, and really well-known guests. The library is full of all the required textbooks and has a great environment to study in silence. The classrooms for the Computer Engineering department are air-conditioned and of good quality (cannot comment about other departments). There is a very large sports ground with cricket, football, volleyball, outdoor badminton, indoor badminton, table tennis, tennis, and basketball facilities. Other than this a gym is also available for use by the students. There are many clubs and they have their own projects to work on throughout the year. The selection of these clubs is usually done through online forms followed by personal interviews.
