Remarks

For admission to DTU, you must first clear the JEE MAINS examination with the required marks for the branch of engineering you want, and mind that DTU is a top-tier college in India so the competition is tough to crack. You can check for registration and eligibility criteria on jeemain.nta.nic.in

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose computer engineering because it is the best branch to choose for internships and placements mindset, and I have a keen interest in computer science and its working and coding. The faculty is also Top tier in the college. All the professors are PhD or above level, with assistant professors on PhD and Mtech levels, which means they have a great knowledge of what they are teaching.

Internships Opportunities

3

College along with off-campus internships are provided to students in all years. You can even choose to research a project with the faculty and some even have stipend offers too. College is very supportive of students achieving their dreams in helps students student in any way it can. You actually get a lot of free time on your hands to even pursue any other hobbies you want along with your studies. Among NSUT and DTU, DTU is a lot more chill towards attendance and free time.

Placement Experience

4

DTU has a record of 100% placements. Students are offered campus placements after the 3rd year ends. Most of the top companies come to the college for campus selections, like google, TCS, Microsoft, Samsung, and all. The highest package in the year 2020-2021 was for 1,60,00,000 rupees/ manually. The average package is one of the best in the country around 15 to 20 lac/ year. I also want to get selected by the companies like google, amazon with a high package.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually, it is the fee structure that bothers me. Despite being a State Government College, I think the fee for the college is really high, and what's worse is that it increases by 10000 rupees every year. Not only the fee structure but the transit to college is also expensive ( which can be around 60000 a year) for the ones that live in southern parts of Delhi, cause Delhi students can't get hostel because of hostel shortage in the college. Scholarships are provided by both the Central and State govt both, you can check for that on their official websites.

Campus Life

3.5

DTU hosts the biggest cultural fest in north India, the ENGIFEST. It's famous for its scale, guests celebrities, and all. Along with that various other types of cultural and tech fests are also organized which are also really big on the scale. You can check them on dtu.ac.in DTU has a big central library too, providing around 400000 physical and 300000 ebooks. Classrooms are quite good and modern too with the wifi provided around the whole campus and classrooms.

Other Applied Colleges

Maulana Azad Medical College - [MAMC], New Delhi | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Could not achieve required marks in NEET for admission.

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT], New Delhi | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

It is actually on par with DTU, but the campus is quite small and DTU has been established for quite longer than NSUT. And, I contacted many staff and students (current and passed out) in my contact of both those colleges , and then I made the choice of c

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
