Based upon the rank backed in JEE exam you register for the JAC Delhi Counselling process that allots seats in the engineering colleges under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. 80% of the seats are reserved for Delhi region students and the rest 20% for outside Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I found Computer Science as a subject of mine in class XI very interesting. So pursuing Software Engineering just made sense. The student-faculty ratio in the college is very good. You will find teachers with a lot of teaching experience as well as teachers in the initial phase of their teaching career. All the teachers are very cooperative and the culture is very frank. Exams are conducted very timely and strict protocols are followed during the conduction of the same. You have to put in a good amount of effort to pass the examination as the paper set is of a certain quality that tests your analytical skills as well as the knowledge you have acquired during the classes.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are also provided. But the numbers are less when it comes to internships as compared to placement opportunities. Most of the companies that visit campus placement hire for internships as well offering the same roles with a stipend ranging from 20000 to 200000 per month.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, the on-campus placement drive commences and a number of opportunities are there. you are most likely to grab placement on campus, however, in case you don't then there you are required to apply for off-campus opportunities and the Training and Placement cell of the college guides you throughout your placement. Companies like Google, Amazon, Sprinklr, Disney+ Hotstar, Intuit, Salesforce, Codeforces, and Microsoft visit the campus and the list goes on. Profiles offered are Software Developer, Network Engineer, Web Developer, Data Scientist, Big data analyst, etc. The average package is around 14-16 LPA and the highest packages cross the 1 Cr mark. Most of the students looking to get a job are able to get a placement and the percentage of students getting placed in tech is nearly around 90%. I am also planning to grab a placement as a software developer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee of B.Tech is increasing every successive year with a hike of nearly 10% of the tuition fee. An estimated cost for the entire B. Tech course will sum up to 9-10 Lac. There are several scholarships available for students like National Scholarship, and State Scholarships, and financial assistance is also provided by the college to the students. Also, the State Bank of India provides student loans with an interest rate of 8.45 per annum specifically to students studying in colleges under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Placements are what make DTU famous. Every tech giant visits the campus for placement and offers made to students vary from 6 LPA to 1 Cr+. You put the effort into preparing for the placements and you will not be disappointed in any way.
Campus Life
Campus life at DTU is simply great. You meet people from different parts of the country, people with different interests, people with different talents, and much more. College fests are scheduled every now and then including cultural fests and tech fests. a number of societies are there to enroll in, the dance society, art society, coding societies, cultural societies, and many more. The campus provides WiFi the infrastructure is amazing and the campus feel is what you will love the most.
