My Experience at DTU

For getting admission to DTU, Students have to appear in jee the main examination and have to qualify for the exam with a great percentile. Application forms for jee mains examination can be found on Jeemains or NTA's website. registration for the exam starts roughly in September and the application fee for Gen/Obc(male candidate) is -625 and for all other students, SC/St/PWD/female candidate is 325. I didn't avail of any reservation.

I'm interested in coding and I also like mathematics so I chose this branch. On average there 100-120 students are there in one classroom but in some courses which are opted for by many students, these numbers rise up to 250-300. Faculties are highly qualified and their teaching methodology is very excellent but some proofs lack these skills and mainly focus on bookish stuff. Exams are always held on time for mid-term, end-term, and some quizzes. The toughness of exam varies in different courses but in general the passing percentage is 30%

DTU drives its summer internship program which around 140-150 companies visited last year with an offer of 400+ job offers. Roles offered to depend on company IT company demands for coding skills, and data analysis while core companies demand specialization in their respective domain. Besides this students can also work in a research program with professors but for this, you have to be an exceptionally well performer in academics.

The annual fee is around 2 lacs but if you opt for a hostel than it will include a hostel and mess fee and the total fee will be 2.5 lacs approximately. Besides this govt is planning to hike fees which will go to be disastrous for many students as they can't afford this much money. Scholarships are available on an academic basis but you have to perform exceptionally to get the benefit of this, there is some pvt organizations that provide scholarships to financially weak students. the fee gets waived for SC/ST and students with a family income of fewer than 1 lacs.

Engifest is a cultural fest organized by DTU in summer its a 2-3 day long fest. Celebrities are invited to perform in college. Invictus is a technical fest of DTU. it covers a wide variety of technical events. Classrooms are in good condition . a number of playground and sports equipment is there for all type of sport. DTU also competes on the institute level annually. Music clubs, entrepreneurship, debating clubs all types of clubs you can explore any of these as per your interest.
