Internship opportunities

The University campus is all good. Professors are knowledgeable but there is no placement cell. I think this is the only fault in the department. Rest all the features are very good. The hostel is very good. They are 24 hours open(both for girls and boys).

I choose this course only because of my interest. Student:faculty ratio is also good around 6:24.. all the professors are highly qualified and have great knowledge. All of them have done a doctorate. Some of them also done double PhD. Exams are held after every 6 months. They are not too much difficult.

Internship opportunities are over all average. Internship are only provided for the masters. Rest you to do by yourself. Professors will help you in your internship process as they are knowledgeable and well known in companies

Fees hike policy is overall good. The cost of the study is less than other colleges like 12000 per year. The opportunity for scholarships is more for Punjab residents. The SC/ST of Punjab gets more benefits toward scholarship

Campus life is overall good. There is an annual fest which is held department-wise and for the whole University too. There is a large library in the university (A.C. Joshi library) and every department has an individual library as well. The library have lot of books. The sports complex of the university is very good. They have every ground for every sport. Hostel rooms are well ventilated with a cheap price. Hostel meals are very good and in a affordable price as compared to other Chandigarh institutes(i.e. 40/- per meal). Registration of hostels depends upon the merit list which is made by the department and for hostel allotment there is different office (i.e. Dean Student welfare or DSW) .
