Remarks

The courses here require a minimum of 60% in 12th standard in PCM, with a high percentile in JEE mains. All data regarding admission, courses, and fees can be found on websites like collegedunia. Admissions could be a little hassle-free by using efficient traffic management techniques by the university, it usually gets hectic for people from outside.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Electrical engineering is good for someone who doesn't want to get deep into coding but still wants that exposure for placements. Faculty to student ratio is okayish, about 1:20. Faculty here are highly qualified, but not that good at conveying their knowledge, very few people are really good, but most of the time it is the best friend. Term exams are usually easy, I studied a few hours before the exam and always got good marks

Internships Opportunities

4

Multiple software and product-based companies visited the campus extending the highest offers of up to 2 lac per month, majority of the roles were SDE, data science /analysts. Projects like NLP, ML-based algos form the majority

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus placements start in the final semester and last till the end of college. Companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Twitter, McKinsey, zomato, and many start-ups also visit around 320 companies visited last year extending more than 2000 offers with an average of around 15 lacs. The highest package on campus was 65 lacs and off campus 1.9 cr More than 95% of students get the placements who opt for placements I started working just after completing graduation and currently, I am preparing for the regulatory authorities exams

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike exists here just like other colleges, I guess it is around 10% annually which can make the courses here costly but thanks to the loan availability, the loan can be easily repaid in the first year of your job, of course considering some factors, but usually, for people graduating from this college the education loan is not much of a headache There are scholarships for students who top the semesters but it is usually very low, for financial assistance we have a policy available which I don't know much about

Campus Life

5

Annual fest ( Engifest ) happens around feb. Books and journals are readily available for issuance Classrooms are well equipped with air conditioning, high-speed internet, etc. Sports and extracurricular activities are immense, and grounds and basic infrastructure are provided to the students Multiple societies are also available on campus, like dance clubs, madhurima, vibe dance, DTU bhangra, defiance, supermileage etc

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels, the new ones are extremely good with top-notch facilities. Mess food is not bad, one could live on it for a week or two but then you need some outside visits to the restaurant to treat yourself, Menu is good and contains chhole bhature, paranthas, idli, dosa in breakfast, dals, channa, subzis, raita for lunch and dinner Registrations are easy, and can be done from the hostel office, though that is the toughest part but after crossing that everything seems easy and doable Registration is online but you have to submit your documents at the hostel office in person

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
