Remarks

For admission to DTU, I had to take the JEE Mains exam, which required a 12th-grade pass with a minimum percentage of 75%; you also had to have physics, chemistry, and math as your main subjects in 12th. I also had to have around a 9000 rank in the general reservation criteria to get the computer science course in B Tech, which means that 85% of the seats in DTU are all reserved for Delhi students. I found the application form for the JEE exam on the website of the NTA. There was a fee of Rs. 650 to take the exam, which was held in February. The admission process was fairly simple for anyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am studying the computer science course in my B. Tech. I took this course because I was very interested in programming from the beginning. This course has around six subjects in all semesters. Each class of approximately 80 students has one teacher. All the faculty are highly qualified, with multiple degrees, PhDs, and diplomas. Teachers mainly use a smart board for teaching, which is fantastic as it is immersive and engaging for students. There are two exams in each semester, the midterm and end-term exams for each subject, and there is a two-month gap between them. The level of the exam is, I think, moderate, and it is easy to pass if you study at least 2 weeks prior to the exams.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Following the completion of the second year, students are eligible to sit in on the internship season. Around 500 students are placed for internships at DTU every year. Companies like Google and Microsoft come to DTU with internship opportunities. It is rather difficult for every student to get an internship at DTU. If someone gets an internship at a large corporation, that corporation will also offer them PPO.

Placement Experience

5

Following the completion of the third year, students are eligible to sit in on the placement season. When it comes to tech jobs, placements at DTU are fantastic. The number of available positions in the non-tech and core sectors is rather low. Top recruiters come to the college and allow students from various branches to take their tests. Companies like Apple, Adobe, Google, and Microsoft are also coming to DTU for recruitment. The T&P department is responsible for conducting the placement process successfully and is very supportive. By the time the placement season ends, almost 90% of the students at DTU are placed somewhere. The highest package of DTU was around 1.5 crores, with the average being 15 lakhs for all branches and 18 lakhs for the computer science branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Each semester, DTU charges Rs 219000. There was also a Rs 2 lakh initial admission fee. There has been no change observed in the fee structure by me in the past 3 years. The university provides merit scholarships to students from the SC/ST/OBS/minority categories, as well as a post-matriculation plan for SC candidates. Students whose household income from all sources is less than Rs 4,50,000 per year are eligible for a fee discount for students in need. There are no on-campus jobs for undergraduate students that I'm aware of.

Campus Life

5

DTU has three festivals, beginning in the final week of January and running until the end of February. DTU's Literary Festival, Tech Fest, and Cultural Festival are among the finest planned in the country. Anyone is welcome to join the college's technical and non-technical societies. These societies serve to increase your general confidence while also developing your personality and expertise. DTU has various societies, including Pratibimb, NSS, Ecell, IEEE, IET, and many more. There is a very big cricket ground, an indoor sports room with badminton courts and table tennis, a basketball court, a gymnasium, a rugby field, and a gym on campus for encouraging sports activities among students. There is also a very big library with a lot of academic books which you can issue and take home for a specific period of time. There are also books for higher studies in the research section of the library.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
