DTU in brief

The admission is based on your rank in JEE Mains entrance exam and the cutoff for that particular course. You should have got at least 75% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics to be eligible for admission. The application for jee mains can be found on the NTA website or google. The process is as straight and crisp as it can be for an applicant pool of this size.

I got this course according to my JEE rank and the subsequent cutoffs, I also have an interest in automobiles hence I took automotive engineering. The ratio is approximately 1 faculty for every 20 students. The faculty are all highly qualified and distinguished researchers and academics in their respective fields. The teaching method is excellent involving a combination of modern labs and classrooms. The term exams are always conducted in their stipulated time period in the semester and they are moderately difficult to pass.

There are a lot of intern opportunities available, though they are not as many as the placement opportunities, companies like amazon, Twitter, Adidas, etc. hire for roles like associate, software developer, web developer, etc.

The students are eligible from the 7th semester for FTE placements, companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, BOA, McKinsey, Bain, KPMG, Gail, concor, etc. visit our campus The highest package is around 2 crores for the SDE profile by amazon, the average is around 15 lakhs. Around 85% of eligible students do get placed. I plan on working in the industry after my degree.

The fee is hiked each year and it is on the higher side according to me. The campus has in-house internships that one can apply for and make some money, they have various roles like admin, web development, data analysis, etc paying around 3000 per month.

The campus life is really good, we have a lush green and vast campus that has gardens, sports grounds, various administrative and academic buildings, etc it is around 170 acres. The annual fest is called Engifest, it's the largest fest in north India, and is spectacular the whole campus and the city comes to a standstill for 3 days during the fest. The library has all kinds of books available and every journal possible. There are all kinds of sports facilities available. Various clubs related to dining, dancing, business, and academic purposes operate on the campus.
