Remarks

College Management is nice. Feedback of students is taken every year and major changes in every sector is done, So the College is nice in every way, But placements are too low which makes it an average college.

Entrance Preview

MHT-CET 2012 I scored 100 marks in PCMB, Which landed me in Theem COE. I stay nearby to college which made this choice next to perfect in terms of Cutoff and also Ease of transportation.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course is totally based on guidelines of Mumbai University. In college like Theem, You will always get a disciplined structure of what u have to do in whole year step by step. The Course mostly consists of all round progress and overall development of students appearing for any course

Internships Opportunities

No. College doesn't provide any internship. But as MIDC near to college one can easily get access to handful of companies for internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

Here the Placement comes mainly for CS and IT students. Mechanical Engineers in my batch got very few companies like CMS, ARK technosolution, Aarti Drugs, Responsive, Soilmec and Avenco Hydraulic Machinery. Almost only 10% of whole mechanical batch got Placement rest were not placed.

College Events

3.5

The College has got its own festival called as Jashn-e-Theem which is conducted in month of February for 15 days. It is very big fest with over 60 to 70 events. The events are coordinated, participated and managed by students under guidance of faculty. The fest consists of technical, cultural and sports event. The events are intracollege and intracollege so nearby institutes also participate in the events. Speaking in volumes is also not enough of how the College event is..!

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees Structure is very much affordable. It is the best college for a common middle class students. It almost costs 62000 and 10000 extra fees. This structure is feasible according to Mumbai University. The fees need to be paid in only one installment.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ya, College has got good scholarship scheme. The ST SC and OBC candidate get direct scholarship, while open candidate can get and EBC scholarship which returns almost 50% of tuition fees to student in a year. Minority students can apply for Minority scholarship for getting a sum of 25k in return.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is little bit strict. You cannot bunk classes if you get inside the College once. The atmosphere of college is good for study. Here you are provided with Central Library and e-library facilities for detailed information of your subjects. A number of reference books are available on Library card. Extracurricular activities are held in colleges. You can participate in BAJA, go cart and events of robotics all over Mumbai University with proper permissions. The college provides aptitude classes also, which help in overall development of a student. In mechanical stream the gender ratio of female:male is very low almost 3:120. While it was 1:1 in CS and IT branch

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facility is not there. But you can stay in PG( paying guest) anywhere in Boisar town. PG has a rental of approx 5k in 1 BHK flats at Boisar. If there are 3 to 4 sharers this would approx make it to 1k per month. The food you eat is based on what you eat. Boisar is quite cheap as compared to Mumbai city, but is costlier than any town nearby.

Alumni/Alumna

There is very good network connection between all students. There are parties mainly freshers and Farewell to enjoy and gathering by students.

Exam Structure

Exam structure has semester pattern i.e. two times exam per year. Total approx. 48 subjects are taught in four years. Practical Exams and Oral Vivas were taken in preparatory leave. So all in all goes like 15 days break and then 3 months syllabus teaching( included with 2 unit tests ) 15 days viva and practicals 15 days Preparatory Leave and again 1 month for sem Exams. With a gap of 4-6 days between each exam

Admission

I appeared for Mahashtra DTE CAP. The DTE Maharashtra arranges CAP every year. You have to go for registration process from any of ARC's in Maharashtra and then you have fill different options forms for CAP. Options form is the filling of various colleges. According to your preference and college Cutoff, a college is granted to you.

Faculty

4

The faculty is very nice and supportive, Student to teacher ratio is 11:1 which is overall good. The faculty of college whether teaching or non-teaching are always there to help you if you ask for it. Also doubt-clearing and problem-solving attitude of teachers help you through 4 years. The 60-80% portion is completed in college. So the students are left with lesser tedious work. The college is strict in case of attendance that is 75%. Overall it is a nice college for curriculum development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
