NIT Surat, B.Tech, Electrical Engineering

Reviewed on Dec 15, 2022(Enrolled 2021)

Remarks

The admission process of Nit surat is through josaa counseling on the basis of jee mains score. Our college also has reserved seats but I didn't get many benefits from the reservation because 50 percent of seats are already reserved for home-state students.

Course Curriculum Overview

My branch is an electrical engineering and I choose this branch because of my interest in circuital subjects. Our department provides excellent facilities. The students to teacher ratio are 60:1 which is nice and the officers are the best in their field. The term exams are conducted timely and for me, it was not much difficult to pass.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 132000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Currently, I am in. 2nd year so I can't give better details about the internship but getting an internship in our college is not much hard. If you don't get an internship outside of college then the college itself provides an internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college tuition fee is 62,500 per semester which is not high for this level of education as compared to any other engineering College in India. But if you are not able to pay this fee then our college provides fee remission according to the financial status of your family.

Campus Life

The campus life of our college is the same as another engineering college. Our college conducts many tests every year. Our college annual fest is the biggest cultural fest in the North West region of India. SVNIT has a very library in which there are approx 100000. It consists of every book which we need. SVNIT has every type of club and social group which a technical College should have and all are run by students themselves.

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
