Remarks
to be eligible you need to secure great than 60 marks in physics, chemistry, and maths in 12th. admission is done on the basis of JEE mains rank. you have to fill out the JAC Delhi admission form for application which is usually available one month after JEE advance result declaration. fee for application only is 1500, you have to submit one semester's fee during admission. admission process took long almost 2 months, they could have completed it a bit faster.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because of my love for coding and algorithms. the student-faculty ratio is decent, if you include Ph.D. scholars as faculty then the ratio is around 30 to 1. overall faculty is well qualified all have required degrees, and around 16 faculty members are featured in Stanford's top 2% scientist list as well. teaching methods vary from teacher to teacher, some have obsolete methods while others have engaging methods. mid sem happen at the end of the second month of the semester and the end sem happens around the beginning of the fifth month. it is easy to pass the exam, but difficult to score over 9 CGPA.
Internships Opportunities
around 700 internships were offered by around 50 companies last year. companies like apple, google, and Microsoft visited for internships. the highest stipend was 2 lakhs per month for sprinklers and the average stipend was 45000. roles offered include software engineers, consultants, etc. projects from different fields like machine learning and data science were required for internships.
Placement Experience
students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Around 394 companies visited in the year 2021-2022. around 2400 offers were made in total. The highest package was around 1.84 crores from Palantir London, the highest domestic package was 64 lakhs from apple. roles offered are software engineers, consultants, product managers, etc. average package was around 16.67 lakhs and for the computer engineering branch it was around 24.5 lakhs. more than 90% of students were placed. I plan to get placed and work at a good size MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
fee for B.tech is around 220000 every year. it increases by around 10% every year. A four-year degree costs around 9 lakhs, which might be a lot to some, but loans are easily available inside the campus from SBI. the college provides scholarships to top-ranking students from every course around 10000. financial assistance is provided to students coming from low-income backgrounds(family income less than 4 lakhs). student internship is provided by college with a stipend of 4000.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty good, the campus is beautiful in itself. Many societies organize different fests every year, annual cultural fest engineer is one of India's largest fests, it is conducted in February every year, and the tech fest also happens around February. books and journals are readily available throughout the year. classrooms are decently sized with ACs and all other facilities like projectors. there is a large sports ground with facilities for cricket, football, basketball, tennis, and badminton there are many societies and clubs like madhurima, a vibe that are run by students for students.
Other Applied Colleges
Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)
both the colleges are similar so a delhi student must choose the college nearer to his home if he is going to be a day scholar. placements are nearly same but cultural activities of dtu is much better
