Remarks

To take Admission to DTU, you have to go through the Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) Admission Process. the application fee is around Rs 1500. and it started after the declaration of the results of JEE MAINS. Eligibility is 10+2

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose Mathematics and Computing Because I love Maths and it helps in Coding also. There are around 1 faculty of around 75 students for theory class and for practical labs students are divided into 3 groups, each group has its Assistant lab professor. Almost all Faculties are very well educated They all have Completed their Ph.D.'s from TOP Colleges but all of them have a different style of teaching. Some Faculties are also Assistant Professors who are pursuing their Ph.D. simultaneously, so due to less experience they might not good as the other qualified professors but they have their teaching work along with the Degree that they should have to acquire, so It's not their fault either. There are two types of exams - Midterm and End term: According to me, both are at a moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Microsoft - SWE(Software engineer) / SRE(Site Reliability Engineer). Google - SWE(Software Engineer) Goldman Sachs - SWE MongoDB - Project Engineer Adobe - Full stack Developer / SWE Projects - Movie Recommendation system, Quillbot Clone, Splitwise Expense Manager.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are allowed to participate in on-campus internships from the 3rd year onwards. Companies started coming from the end of the 2nd year around in the month of July-august. There are around 385 companies coming to DTU with around more than 2400 offers and around more than 1930 students placed in the year 2022. 1020 LPA offers - 407 Average CTC - 15LPA Highest Domestic Package: 64 LPA provided by Apple. Highest International Offer: 1.16 Cr provided by Amazon.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fess is High according to me. There are many fee relaxation policies. The Scholarship is provided by both the college and also by the Delhi govt, but students can avail of only one. There is merit cum means scholarship which is very much beneficial because it is for all categories with only criteria of family annual income. This scholarship provides relaxation on tuition fees only which is around 60-65 % of total fees. The university also provides many on-campus internship opportunities.

Campus Life

4

EngiFest is the biggest fest which is conducted around the month of February. there are also many other fests conducted by various societies. The library is awesome with quite good WIFI and a very good place for study. All classrooms contain fully functional A.C. and Fans. There are many Washrooms and water Coolers nearby each classroom. There is a very Huge Sports Complex in which we can play any sports. there is a separate indoor hall for Table tennis, badminton, and a pool. There are many Social groups like DTU Notice alerts, DTU Cultural Council, etc are run by students.

Other Applied Colleges

Inderprastha Engineering College - [IPEC] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

because Delhi technological University have high nirf ranking than this college with a lot more opportunities than this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
