Remarks
When I got admission (2019) to the college at that time admissions was through UPSEE. But now the admission process is through the JEE Mains Exam. After the JEE Exam students should select the KIET Group of Institutions in the counseling. If the annual income of the student's family is less than 200000 then he can avail of the fee waiver sheets in which there is no tuition fee is there and the final fee became around 25000 per year.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose ECE because it provides computer science subjects with the core ECE subjects that help in placement in IT Companies. There is one faculty with over 30 students. In my department, all the teachers are well qualified and 100% of the teacher has done their Ph.D. or Pursuing one. Term exam happens monthly and it is not hard to pass this exam.
Internships Opportunities
There are not many opportunities for a paid internship but there are some like the Amazone internship program that provides a 10000 per month stipend and the role is to check the supply chain. Each year students have to do at least 2- projects related to their subjects such that they can get a better understanding of the subjects.
Placement Experience
From the start of the 7th-semester students became eligible for campus placements and for the 2023 batch till now already 1500 offers have been made by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Mahindra, Airtel, Adani Group, Josh Technologies, ION Group, JSW, Accenture, Cognizant, DXC Technology, etc. The highest package is 24 LPA from ION Group for the profile of Software Developer. The average package is 6 LPA. About 95 % of students get placed every year. My plan is also to be placed in a core company.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my college, there is no fee hike in any semester. the fee is the same in the first year and final years. I feel that the fee is not invalid because the college is providing good resources for the students. Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Scheme is there for the student with an annual income of less than 200000. Many students get an internship with a stipend through the college internship cell.
Campus Life
The main annual fest of the college is Epoque which is an event in which there are many dance and singing performances and also a fashion show. Besides the main fest there is also a technical fest called Innotech in which students make projects and the winner gets the rewards. The college has a central library and every book is present in it and we can also request the book that is not present so that the library can buy it. Classrooms are air-conditioned and cleaned and equipped with projectors and some are with Smart Boards. Sports facilities are available for the students and there are many extracurricular activities on campus. There are many groups in the college and all of them are run by students.
