Remarks
Eligibility for the entrance is by JEE Mains exam followed by counseling and there are no percentage criteria. The application forms can be found at the KIET reception. If a student gets a good rank and Family income is less than 200000 then he can get a discount of 80000 on the fee. Admission could be easy if there will be flexibility in the fee submission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose ECE because I love circuits and mother Boards and how they work. there is one faculty with over 30 students. The faculties are well qualified and all of them are pursuing or completed the Ph.D.. Teaching methods are good. There are exams every month and it is easy to pass them.
Internships Opportunities
Amazon provides internship opportunities for students with a good stipend and also some other companies provide good internships and most of them are unpaid. Students have to do a project each semester based on the subjects.
Placement Experience
Placement activities start in the 7th semester starting. Many companies visiting campus like Infosys, DXC, Cognizant, Accenture, Airtel, Capgemini, TCS, etc. The highest package is 24 LPA in the ION Group and the average package is 6 LPA. 90-95 % of students got placed last year. My plan after the degree is to do a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee remains the same for all years and it gets reduced by 10000 in the second year because some charges are only for once. UP Scholarship scheme is there for economically weak students and there are few opportunities for students to earn by getting internships.
Campus Life
Epoque happens each year which is a cultural fest, it happens in March each year Also one more fest prastuti is there which happens in April each year and celebrities come to the Epoque. Classrooms have air conditioning and projectors. Libraries are fully equipped with all books and journals. Sports and extracurricular activities happen on campus like games and clubs. There are many clubs on campus like - KIET Music Club, KIET Dance Club, Innovation Club, Sparks, eCELL, and Creative Cell, and all are run by students.
Hostel Facilities
In-room, Almirah is provided to each student. There can be 2-3 students in the room depending on the size of the room. Everyday cleaning facility is available in the room. Tables are also available for each student. Coolers are also available in the Summer. Meal quality is good and each day meal is fixed and no choice is provided. Registration for the hostel is online through the student ERP portal and I feel that Hostels are affordable. The locality for the PG is also good. There are good societies near the College.
