Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is a bit outdated and even the faculty members know that. But it doesn't matter since we need to do most of the things on our own for placements and we cannot rely on the college for the same irrespective of the branch. My course is relatively new and there aren't many faculty members but changes are being made. The difficulty of the exams is moderate and I have never heard of anyone who failed to pass them.
Internships Opportunities
I don't think we are allowed to disclose the stipends but some top companies that visited our college for SDE Roles are- Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, BNY Mellon, SLB, Goldman Sachs, Salesforce, Intuit, Walmart, etc.
Placement Experience
After 4th sem, students become eligible for internships. Various companies visit our campus to offer internships to students, both in the tech and non-tech fields. For placements, the companies visit the college at the end of the 3rd year, i.e. 6th sem. I don't recall the exact figures but in my branch, the placements were 100% with avg package being 20lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is 10% every semester. The fees are pretty much the same as every top-tier government college. It is far cheaper than private colleges like BITS, IIITs, etc. thus, making it affordable for everyone eligible to come and study in this college. There is a lot of financial aid available like student loans, etc.
Campus Life
DTU is known for its campus life. The hostels are a bit limited in number but then, but people stay in PGs around the college. The campus in the evening is very happening. You'll see groups of people sitting and singing songs, and having the time of their lives. Engifest is the main annual fest that my college organizes and it is one of the biggest fests in North India. Many big celebs come to our college to perform and the footfall is over 1 lakh per day. The classrooms are a bit old but otherwise, all the facilities are proper. There are a lot of clubs to keep yourself engaged, the sports block is quite big too. Overall campus life is amazing
Admission
Admissions took place through JAC and the rank cutoff for my branch was 16.5k for Delhi students. It is a 4-year course and I gave JEE in 2020 to be eligible for the same. The choices were flexible and could be updated after each round and although the admission process took a lot of time, it was pretty smooth.
