Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

At the time of choosing Civil engineering was a highly sought-after domain of work and Jaypee Industries itself was a major player in the industry. Hence, it was a no-brainer to opt for civil engineering at any of the Jaypee campuses. The faculty-student ratio might be somewhere around 1:50. The faculty was highly qualified, well-read, and very supportive. Most of them were IIT graduates. A semester comprised 3 tests in total after an interval of one and a half months. The tests were moderate to difficult.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Adobe, Infosys, Wipro, Collegedunia, ZS Associates, and many more would visit the campus. The average package was somewhere around 4,00,000-5,00,000. Almost 70% of students except in Civil Engineering would get placed. After my degree, I started preparing for the UPSC.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is reasonably set up with a chance for almost every strata of society to get into the institution and avail of quality education. There was no fee hike during my time at the institution but for new admissions, a hike was in place from year to year.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest was called le Festus, with the tech fest being called Murious. Murious was generally conducted in February and leFestus in April. A highly resourceful library and a very big one too. Highly updated classrooms with all the modern tech. Sports are an integral part of life at the campus of JUIT.

Admission

Counselling based on JEE mains rank. Eligibility may vary from year to year based on the cutoff for that particular year. Application form-related details can be availed from the official website. The application process could be a little more dynamic and GD/PIs could be scheduled for better applications and filtering out undeserving applicants who tend to get in on the basis of academics alone.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects.
