Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) is a four-year undergraduate program that focuses on the study of computer systems, software development, and information management. The program prepares students for careers in the fields of software engineering, database management, networking, and web development. The curriculum of a B.Tech in Information Technology program covers a range of topics, including programming languages such as Java and C++, database management systems, computer networks, software engineering, data structures and algorithms, web development, and mobile application development. In addition to technical courses, the program also includes courses in management, communication skills, and ethics.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) places a strong emphasis on providing students with opportunities for hands-on learning and real-world experience. As such, the university offers various internship opportunities to its students through its placement cell and industry partnerships. Some of the types of internships that are available to DTU students include: Summer internships: These are short-term internships that typically last for a period of 8-12 weeks and are typically taken during the summer break. They provide students with an opportunity to work on real-world projects, learn new skills, and gain practical experience in their field of study. Industry internships: These are longer-term internships that are usually taken during the academic year. They provide students with an opportunity to work with leading companies in their field and gain in-depth exposure to the industry.

Placement Experience

4.5

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) has a strong track record of providing excellent placements to its students. The university has a dedicated placement cell that works closely with companies to arrange on-campus recruitment drives and internships for students. Some of the top recruiters at DTU include Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, and Hindustan Unilever, among others. The university also has partnerships with several multinational companies and startups, which provide students with opportunities for internships and hands-on learning experiences. In recent years, DTU students have been placed in some of the top companies in the country and abroad, with many students securing lucrative job offers with high salaries. The average salary offered to DTU graduates during campus placements has been consistently high, and ranges between INR 20 to 30 Lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for the B.Tech program at the Delhi Technological University (DTU) vary based on several factors such as the course of study, the category of the student (General, SC/ST, OBC, etc.), and the mode of admission (through JEE or other entrance exams). As of my knowledge cut-off in 2021, the estimated fee for a B.Tech program at DTU was approximately INR 1,20,000 to INR 1,50,000 per annum. However, it's important to note that these fees are subject to change, and I would suggest checking the official website of DTU for the most up-to-date and accurate information. In addition to tuition fees, students may also be required to pay other fees such as examination fees, hostel fees, and miscellaneous fees for laboratory access and other facilities. Financial assistance in the form of scholarships and loans may be available for students who require support to meet the cost of their education.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at the Delhi Technological University (DTU) is a unique and enriching experience for students. The university has a vibrant student community that is actively involved in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Some of the key features of campus life at DTU include: Student clubs and organizations: DTU has a number of student-run clubs and organizations that cater to a wide range of interests, such as music, dance, literature, sports, and technology. These clubs provide students with opportunities to develop their leadership skills and pursue their passions. Sports facilities: DTU has a large sports complex that includes facilities for various sports such as cricket, basketball, football, and badminton. The university also organizes sports competitions and tournaments for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
