Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose the course (B. Sc. Life Sciences) as it was the molong with optional and additional subjects St. versatile and gave me the best options to explore a variety ovar subjects. The course included Chemistry, Botany and Zoology that change every semester. The faculty student ratio is 2:50 average per subject. The faculty are mostly PhDs and senior teachers with great knowledge. Some of the teachers have good teaching methods but cannot say the same about others. The exams were held timely. There's sometimes issue with the spacing between two exams, where sessional exams were held very close to semester end exams. The exam level is easy to moderate and it's very easy to pass them.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I myself have not seated in the internship programmes but I've heard non-medical fields have good internships and good companies visiting the campus regularly. The internships for B.Sc. programs are little out negligible, but better for M. Sc. and B. Tech courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is slightly high as compared to other government colleges. Unlike DUs where the fees is like 4000-5000 per semester, the fees here was 25000 average and even higher for other streams. The facilities provided considering the fee structure sometimes feels lack-luster. There are several scholarship programs in the campus, but not much people are aware about it because they are not heavily promoted.

Campus Life

2.5

There are some events organized by the clubs but there nothing in the name of fests organized by the authorities. Availability of books in library is good. Almost any book can be found and if not present can be ordered and will arrive within a month. For amenities, there are fans in classes and proper ventilation but no Air Conditioners. Some classes have ACs (only 2-3% of total classes) and drinking water is available.

Admission

The admission process was very simple. There's only one issue relating to the mode of payment. The only mode of payment is online payment via debit card. No cash, no DD, no cheque. It's becomes a tedious task for the ones not having debit/credit card. The eligibility of the course was class 12th passing marks. No entrance exams were conducted. I took part in the walk-in admissions so I filled the forms on the spot and payed the fees. People belonging from EWS were giving slight priority for the admissions, rest there were no reservation criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I enjoyed physics and maths as a school student so chose BSc course including the studies of all three- Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The modern physics part and the practical aspect of mathematics intrigued me. Though the curriculum of maths wasn't that comprehensive and was majorly all theory based. Maths syllabus can be enhanced by practical applications of examples rather than just be all about the theorems. The teaching method was good. The frequency of maths exam was 3 per semester, with three full books syllabus to be covered for each exam with mostly theory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If i talk about my couse then i study in bsc (medical) which is a good course, we studies botany, zoology, chemistry, physics also we are nep student so we study more subject. By studying bsc we came to know my real life experiment like knowing about species, real life incidents etc. I suggest my teaching staff that they have to focus more in practical classes not on theory classes because students are more interested in them.
