Remarks

College managemnt is so good and everything is online. Such a good college with good infrastructure, good academics with pracitcal approach and best placements around the country.

Entrance Preview

Entrance Exam - JEE MAINS Marks - 94 out of 360 This college is extremely good in ranking and placement wise is also vey good. Secondly, I could clear the cutoff for this particular college. That is why I enrolled myself in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of DTU is something not only focusing on theoretical approach. One gets a very large idea about practical things happening. There are subjects such as Workshop Practice, Electrical Practicals, Chemistry, Physics Labs and Engineering Graphics for giving a student a very vivid view and a practical approach towards the subjects. Also, there is computer programming and mechanical engineering subjects included to give students a larger view of the engineering subjects.

Internships Opportunities

College provides a internship and moreover, it is compulsory to do 3 minimum internships in 4 years. Stipent is not generally high in a student's first or second years. But it goes high in third year and fourth year also. Moreover, DTU is known for placements and internships.

Placement Experience

5

Starting with the highest package, Google and Uber have offered packages of around 1 Crore 20 Lakhs to the students of DTU. There are many Tech companies that visit college every year which includes - Yahoo, Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, etc. and they provide a average package of 10 to 15 lakhs. There are core companis such as Mckinsey, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm which provide a package of about 10 Lakhs.

College Events

5

There are s many differet Societies, Tech Teams, Cultural Societies related to Dance, Music, Drama and Photography Societies. There are many societies which conduct regular SIG's and classes for the students teaching them the subjects of their interests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to many BTech providing colleges, the fees here is not very expensive. Fees is as follows : 1st Year- One lakh thirty nine thousand. 2nd Year - One Lakh Fifity One Thousand. 3rd Year - One Lakh Sixty Three thousand. 4th Year - One Lakh Ninety Thousand.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since, the college is under the Delhi Government, there are many scholarship schemes provided by the Delhi Govt. and Loan facilities are provided by the SBI bank which is situated whithin the campus.

Campus Life

5

There are very less girls as compared to boys. So, gender ratio is very poor. There is vast diversity and students come over from different parts of the country. Also, there are student exchange programs and around 70 students have been enrolled this year. Campus Life is thrilling and campus being about 163 acres is too large to be dicovered. There are many animals like monkey, peacocks, dogs and many varieties of birds. Sports Complex is very vast in area and overall the experience of the college is so overwhelming.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are 9 boys hostel and 6 girls hostel and accomodation of around 2000 students. But generally, the residents of Delhi are not able to get the seats in the hostel and only few percentage is reserved for Delhi Candidates. Food is very good and hygeinic.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni of DTU includes Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Owner of Paytm), Vinod Dham and many more great influential people have been passed out from our college. Seniors are so helpful that they will not deny any kind of help.

Exam Structure

There is two semesters in each year and each semester has different syllabus and different subjects. There are two exams in each Semester - Mid Sems and End Sems. Mid Sems start in September and End Sems around November for the odd semsters and for the even semesters, Mid Sems are conducted around January and End Sems around March. Mid Sems are of 30 marks and End Sems of 40 marks. Practical Exams are held only in End Sems and they gives an experience of thrill and chill and there is no lathargic approach towards the exams.

Admission

I am going to tell the procedure stepwise: 1. Fill the form for entrance exam i.e. JEE MAINS. 2. Sit for JEE MAINS exam. There are two methods : Offline and Online which are usually conducted on different dates. 3. Result comes out on a particular date along with the cutoffs for passing the exam. 4. You have to apply for particular college choices on the site "JacDelhi" which is the head of the seat allotment process for JEE MAINS exam only. 5. There is a fixed schedule of each and every cutoff that is going to be released on some dates. 6. Once you get a particular seat in first round (or in first four rounds), pay 75000 rupees as advance payment and visit the college on the schedule mentioned there for document verification 7. In the rest of the cutoff lists introduced, the procedure is online and one is not needed to go anywhere. 8. In the last cutoff list, the seat is fixed and you are admitted in a particular college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties in the first year are good and trained. Some of them are even Head of Departments, some are Deans and some of them are assistant professors. But all of them are very good in their subjects. They have a very positive attitude towards the students and all are very helpful in each and every subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
