Remarks

There are lot many things to be improved. First thing is infrastructure which is more than 90 years old built by britishers. And after that no proper renovation has been done. Then second thing is to improve recruitment process and invite more and more co

Entrance Preview

My entrance exam was UPTU/GBTU exam And I chose B. tech as my course choice because it is a course that will help to grow you professionally and you can get a good job or enter corporate level and understand the whole mechanism and administration process of companies around the globe. There was no interview carried out for b. tech course but a proper admission process was there. When I got my rank. I got a letter to fill college and branch available according to your choice. Then after 1 month I got admission letter in which I got branches I filled during choice filling process. Then once again I went to my college to fill all formalities and paying admission fees.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship in Hindustan Aeronautical Limited where I came to know about how database management is utilised to keep all informations about each and every small part(eveb gear and nails required) to build a aircraft and how firewall, security policy are maintained to prevent information flow outside it's campus. It was really a good experience for me. There was no provision of internship provided by our college to students which is really bad thing and hence no stipend.

Placement Experience

3

As I am from Computer Science branch. Companies like IBM, SAPIENT, EXL SERVICES, SAMSUNG NOIDA, SAMSUNG BANGLORE, ARICENT, NEWZEN and many other too came for recruitment. Package varied from 3. 5 to 7. 15 lpa. Later when college ended. ADOBE too hired 5 students one by one through online exam and telephonic interview. For other branches placement had not a good scenario. And so other branch student also had chance to sit in software company while civil, leather branch is worst case in hbti.

College Events

4.5

Cultural and technical fest are celebrated at a very good level. Every branch have their own fest which they celebrate in a very ostentatious manner with great pomp and show. Some of the technical fest are listed as: mechanical department- MECHARNIVAL, computer science & information technology & MCA. INCORD, Electrical and electronics department - TECHERA and many others. Culural fest like Taal and odessey are celebrated where students from other college also participate in dance, choreo, singing and many others like skit, drama.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships to students who have below 1 lakh per year income of their parents were exempted from tution fee which was about 50000 rupees per year. But all student have to pay hostel and Mess charges even if they belong to BPL category. As far as I know. I have never heard about any loan facility being provided to students.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio was maintained up to a quite good rate as UPTU give girls quota too. In every fest different workshops were conducted like for Android learning, robotics workshop etc. But boys and girls cannot have any party together. There are some restrictions too. HBTI had tonnes of extracurricular activities which includes formal and informal events. There were many clubs like literature club, sports club, yoga club whose leader organises many activities through out the year. Too came for recruitment.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Since HBTI is a government funded college, the hostel and mess charges were minimal. Hostel charges are Rs. 10000 per year and rooms are 3 sharing till 3rd year and then single seater in final year as final year is important for recruitment. So student ge

Alumni/Alumna

HBTI had a great alumni meeting where even old aged alumni used to come to meet their friends. But the current studying students never get a good chance to interact with them. There a banquet is organised and then everybody leaves without any interaction.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty was not up to the mark. Sometime important subjects were taught by guest lecturers who were ony M. tech degree holder.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
