Likes

faculty are good and friendly and college is good
New canteen is good and hostel food is also good
Many of my hostel friends say, life at college hostel is pretty good and ok

Dislikes

No support for research driven student, its vey hard to get any funds for project from college - you wont get also.
No recognition for hard works like I'm Smart India Hackathon Winner but still no support from college side.
Campus and VTU syllabus needs to be updated a lot, because we are reading 1970s concepts present world is far futuristic.

I have chosen electronics and communication as my course in engineering. Teachings in college are good. And laboratory facilities and scope for Research and development are good. The teachers are friendly. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:25.

Placement Experience

Placements in our college are average. The companies like slk, rofosoft and smartsocs visited our campus. But most of the offers come from sales companies like- skill vertex, Intellipat, etc. On-campus highest package is around 7-8 LPA. But most of the students get between 2-4 LPA. The placement percentage is around 65-70%.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my time in 2019 admission, most of the seats from KCET were 90k fees. The management quota 1.4Lakh fees. Students do receive many scholarships from state and central boards like SSP.

Campus Life

Due to Covid 19, in 4 years only once I have seen the annual festival Malika - it's pretty good. The library is new and big but the books are fewer. Many sports are played. We have a cricket ground, and gym in the hostel.

Admission

I entered the college through the KCET exam 2019, which is conducted all over Karnataka for engineering aspirants. As I'm from the general category no special reservations. My college is affiliated with VTU university.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

I would rate 5 out of 5. I specially enjoyed being involved in activities like ego and Rns, which made my college life more engaging. College provides good atmosphere, and I got good friendship in the college.

In our college placement training will be started from first semester only ..by 5th or 6th semester we can attend the campus selection So many companies are visited namely Infosys, wipro, accenture etc 12lahk will be highest i think also i dont know exactly and average will be 3.5lakh per year 70% of the students get placed by full filling the interviewers needs Im preparing for the civil services

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.
