Course Curriculum Overview
I got an electrical engineering branch based on my rank in JEE(Mains). One of the best branches from the placement perspective and also from the faculty perspective as this is a core branch. The faculty from this branch are highly experienced and teaching at DTU for many years. The curriculum is a bit tough but it is interesting at the same time. We have 2 exams in one semester mid sem and end sem.
Internships Opportunities
there are a lot of opportunities for internships. from the very 1st year we can apply for interns and later the company might give ppo and boom you are placed. From sde role to an analyst role to a designer role there are varieties of roles for which the companies come. apart from this, there are few paid internship opportunities that the college provides itself. internships are many and it helps us in making our resume for the final year.
Placement Experience
Placements are the reason why students prefer DTU over any other engineering college in Delhi or any other state. There are almost 300+ companies visiting throughout the placement session. It does not matter which branch you are in there are endless companies that are hiring students from every branch and are open to all branches. without a doubt, I can say DTU has one of the best placement processes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is the only worst part of DTU. Being a state government college with such high fees is what anyone will question. Of course, there are various scholarships available but one has to be a topper or their family income is less for the middle-class family scholarship is very far to get. But DTU has good placements so fees are worth it.
Campus Life
Campus life is the best part of any student. And this is the reason why many people join DTU. DTU is a very huge campus and one has to walk a long distance to reach from one place to another or to different departments. It has all facilities be it sports, labs, societies everything. And after entering college one will enjoy the time he/ she is there in college.
Admission
The admission process was through JEE(MAINS) exams. I cleared the exams and then filled out the JAC Delhi form which has 4 government colleges under it, we had to fill out the preferable courses according to our choice. Based on the rank counselling is done through various rounds. Once my rank was in the cut off I was called for counselling for the document verification. Like other forms, this also had reservation benefits, and cut-off ranks are different for different categories.
Other Applied Colleges
Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)
DTU campus and placements is better as compared to NSUT.
