Likes

The college offers great placement opportunities and therefore offers a secure future
The academic pressure is not too heavy and you get free time for doing other activities
The campus is quite big and the ground too is sufficiently big

Dislikes

The student ratio is a actually a big problem as there are close to no girls in the college
The intake of the college is increasing each year which hai compromised on the quality of the education.
The teaching within the college is not at paar with its esteem.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Information technology because it has good opportunities and placements stats. Moreover, it favors my interests. The student-teacher ratio is around 12:1 and is a little bit low. The schedule is mostly followed on time and the exams are quite easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

Companies start arriving to offer internships at the end of the second year of college. The role most offered is of SDE. All big companies offer internships similar to that in the IITs eg the FAANG companies.

Placement Experience

The placement stats are pretty great. The college is known for its placements. All big companies visit the college and offer on-campus placements. Around 85% of students get placed. The highest package within India goes up to 60 LPA and average being 10 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are around 2.15 lakhs per annum which are somewhat high given that it is a government university. There are various scholarships available based on different eligibilities. The placements and internships though are pretty great. The stipend for interns goes up to 2 lahks per month.

Campus Life

The annual tech fest is Invictus and the annual cultural fest happens in the month of February. There are a large number of books in the library. The ground and sports infra are pretty good as compared to other colleges. You can find a society relating to every activity within this college.

Admission

Application is through jee mains exam, once the score is received you need to apply for JAC counseling. There are usually 6-7 rounds followed by a spot round. Being a state government college there is 85% reservation for Delhi students which is a huge advantage for them.

Good college for leaning and enjoy campus life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

If you got no placement then they will give you the opportunity to start the startup. starting the 4th year you get the placement and opportunities. this college visits many companies like Amazon HCL Flipkart etc. this college's highest package is 26 LPA and the average package is 10.5 LPA. 80% of students get placed. my plan is after taking the degree I will start my startup.

A NICE LITTLE INFO ON MY FAV. DTU

I have applied to GGSIPU , AKTU and other state colleges , I got admission in all of them but DTU was better than them So i chose it I also managed to crack bits goa but the fees was legit too high for me to afford I get rejected from lower NITS because of my rank. Rank is the only deciding factor in getting into college, nothing else college admission was just like school admission. The only difference was the huge pile of documents. You have to submit so many papers, category documents, residence documents To be eligible, you need to score at least 60% in your Class 12th boards for all category students You also have to sit for the JEE exam, and your admission depends entirely on your JEE rank...Read More
