Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I am a tech enthusiast and find it interesting to code chosen COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING. The faculties here are very good at their knowledge and they are very chill. No such 75% attendance criteria as such. Most teachers are IITians and are highly qualified. In a semester there are examinations conducted twice, one is midsem and the other is end semester and exams are somewhat of medium level. if are good at your studies during the whole semester you would get a good CGPA. It's easy to pass all subjects if u study a week before also.

Placement Experience

5

The placements here are very good, every big company visits here for campus placements like google, apple, Microsoft, Atlassian, etc. with a very good package. last year the highest package was 1.84 crores. in computer science the average package is about 24.5 lpa like during 2021-22, the number of offers was 2459. given by a total of 403 companies .and highest domestic package was 64 lpa given by apple and the international highest package was 1.8 crores given by Palantir London. my plans are of getting a good placement from the campus and to join the corporate world.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year there's a fee hike. But you can get some scholarship's from the Delhi government E-Dist portal. The college also gives fee waivers to some of the students based on their income level. the campus placements are really awsome, like every big company like google, apple, and Microsoft comes here with very good offerings.

Campus Life

5

DTU is famous for its college life and fests. there are many fests and events conducted here. The biggest fest here is Engifest, which is the biggest cultural fest in north India. Along with that other fests are YUVAAN (literature and film fest) ,Invictus(techfest). Almost every book you will get in the library, each book has approximately 80-100 copies. some classrooms are fully air-conditioned while some are not. there are projectors in each classroom and a seating capacity of almost 100 students. Talking about the societies and tech teams, there are many start-up socities also and the start-up culture here is very good. sports facilities are also very good, there are cricket, football, basketball, and lawn tennis like for every sport there is facility except a swimming pool. there are many groups and clubs run by students such as 'fresources' run by second-year students where there are facilities for exam preparations and all college-related issues.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The first-year hostels are like flats in which there are 2 rooms a kitchen and a washroom and a toilet with a balcony. Each flat has 3 students and each student gets a bed a table, a chair and a wardrobe. 2nd-year hostels are very good and are like hotels, fully air-conditioned and facilitated with everything like common rooms and chilling spaces, inbuilt badminton court for hostels, etc. For the hostel registration you will get a google form in starting of your admission process. and later on the list will come for the selected students for hostels. here outsiders are given priority first. the locality around the college is also somewhat good and there u will get everything nearby. in a radius of 2 km, you will get malls, water parks, etc.

Admission

First, you have to take the science stream along with maths and start preparing for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) just after your class 12th conducted by NTA. Application forms will be available on the NTA's website only, and the application forms will cost you around 1000 rupees. Now you have to compete against almost 10 lacks of students and to taking admission to some of the prestigious colleges u have to score a very good percentile and score. For colleges like DTU if you are a general student and you have completed your 12th from outside of Delhi, you really need a very good rank for the computer science branch, your rank should be under 3000-4000. which can be different every year according to the cutoff for that particular year, while if you have done your 12th from Delhi itself, you have some reservations. (there is 85% seat reservation for Delhi students). There's a counselling body called JAC Delhi which conducts the admission processes for colleges in Delhi like NSUT and DTU.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
