Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Electronics & Communication Engineers will see an increase in demand due to the upcoming semiconductors market. A core branch helps you widen your prespective and makes you a better problem solver. Talking about the faculty to student ratio 1: 74 The faculty here are PhD holders from reputed institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs, DU, JNU, etc. and are very knowledgable. There are 8 semesters and each semester has a mid sem and an endsem exam. Midsems are scoring while Endsems are actually hard as there is a lot of syllabus to cover. Maintaining your CGPA is pretty challenging but not when you work consistently.

Internships Opportunities

4

According to the latest data, Sprinklr offered the highest stipend of INR 2 lakh per month during the academic year 2021-22. Highest stipend for BDes was INR 1 lakh per month. Average stipend was INR 59000 per month.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placements from 3rd year. As per the official statistics, 2,082 offers were made from over 300 companies that participated in DTU placements 2022. The overall highest package stood at INR 1.2 crore per annum and the DTU average package offered was INR 15.31 LPA. The highest package offered to B.Des students was INR 46 LPA. My plans after the degree is to go for higher studies as a researcher.

Fees and Financial Aid

For every academic year the fee gets hiked. Fee matrix is available on the website. Average cost of studying will be somewhere around 8-10 lakh rupees. There are Scholarships, Financial Assistances & Internships available on Campus. You can apply for scholarships on the DTU Portal itself. Student Loans can also be taken from SBI that is in the DTU campus itself. You can also apply for USIP (University Student Internship Programme) and intern for Official work as well as Startups incubated with DTU.

Campus Life

4.5

DTU's annual fest is called EngiFest and it is very massive. It has a foothold of more than 3 lakh people. Usually held in February every year. Talking about the books and journals in the library, there are a lot of books on every topic. You can also issue course books from the bookbank for a semester. Classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with projectors. The sports facility in DTU is great. There is an atheletics and a cricket ground, football ground, indoor and outdoor badminton courts, lawn tennis courts, basketball courts, gyms, and a lot more. If you have a hobby or are interested in tech you can always join their respective societies and you will always be amongst like-minded people. There are many social groups and clubs run by students. Fresources is a website run by students which provides notes, pyqs, textbooks, assignments, lecture playlists, etc. free of cost so that everyone benefits from these resources.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the new hostels, we are given triple occupancy rooms. Each student gets one bed, one matress, one table, one chair and one almirah. Common rooms have TT and pool tables and have gyming equipments. The mess food is decent and the menu is different everyday. The hostels are much more affordable than pgs. The registration of hostels is done through the DTU Portal.

Admission

The eligibility to BTech Courses is on the basis of JEE Mains Score. The admissions application are done through the JAC Delhi counselling portal. For application dates and fees checkout the JAC Delhi website.

Other Applied Colleges

National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)

DTU was much more reputed and established in comparison to NIT Delhi

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
