Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose my course because of my interest as well as the money, of course. But the course is not that relevant to what the market expects from us, but this is the case with all engineering colleges, even the best IITs, so won't say you should come expecting that. The faculty-Student ratio is decent, but again not what the global standards are. But, as per an Indian engineering college, I would say it is decent. All I can say is if you really want to study you can easily get access to the teachers, because in any Indian Engineering college are really interested in learning much from the faculty, instead they learn from their friends and seniors. But if you are that rare one who wants to learn from the teachers you can easily do that. Faculty are qualified, but it depends on your luck if you get a teacher who is chill & good teaching methods. Our whole year is divided into 2 semesters, with Mid Term & End Term Exams in both exams. You can score well even if you start the last week.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships Opportunities start coming in 2nd year itself. Every major Company known for giving great internships come for the recruitment process like "Samsung", "Amazon", "DE Shaw", "Sprinklr", "Microsoft", "Directi", "Expedia", etc. Obviously cracking internships is more difficult than cracking a placement. But can be done with the right skill set. The average Stipend is around Rs30k-50k and can go up to Rs 2 Lac for companies like "Sprinklr". Students are recruited as "Summer Interns", and "Spring Interns", etc. and get full-time PPOs if they do a great job in their internships.

Placement Experience

4

Overall, Placements and internship opportunities are good. And they are great if you are from Tech branches. On-campus Internships start from 2nd year itself. Even though cracking an internship is more difficult than getting a placement, if you are great you are at coding, you can get some great internships with an average of Rs30k-50k and it can go up to Rs2 Lac. On-campus Placement opportunities are great. Almost every big company comes for the recruitment process which includes the likes of big tech like "Microsoft", "Amazon", "Google", "And Adobe" as well as the High paying Indian Startups like "Paytm", "Flipkart", "Cred", "Zomato", etc and then there are companies which are not as famous as big tech but pays in crores(CTC). The average Package of CSE is Rs25 Lac per Annum. and that for the whole college is Rs15 Lac per Annum. The highest Package of 2022, as per my knowledge was Rs1.85 Crore. Around 80-90% of students from CSE get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees every year increase. Fees for 1st Year-Rs219000 Fees for 2nd Year-Rs229000 Fees for 3rd Year-Rs236700 Fees for 4th Year-Rs246700 Hostel and Mess Fees have to be paid separately. There are different Scholarship Schemes available for different categories, even EWS. Chances of getting a scholarship are good if you genuinely have financial problems, but if you are just trying to find a way through to get your money back, you can be disappointed You can get loans sanctioned as well at comparatively lower interest rates because of the great brand value of college. Campus Opportunities are great if you have the right skillset and right network which can either include your year mates or seniors. In fact, the Average Package is around Rs15 Lac per annum for all the branches combined and around Rs25 Lac for CSE students.

Campus Life

4.5

DTU is known for its Campus Life. It has a big campus of about 170 acres, with great infrastructure & greenery. It is located in Delhi which makes it even better as Delhi is a city itself and its metropolitan culture is an experience to have, which you can't get anywhere else. Its Cultural Fest "Engifest" is one of the Largest fest in India and probably the largest in North India, which happens in Feb every year. It is a 3-Day extravaganza and its night concerts are something which will make you addicted to concerts, thereafter. It is a great place to meet new and different people as many students from different colleges attend "Engifest". Classes and the Library are good. New Classrooms are being built for CSE and IT students as well. Overall, College is a great place to be at. Culture is great. You can make new friends, and join clubs of almost any kind (even though some socities are better than others). Almost all people are friendly and they can help you if you need some.

Admission

You can get admission to the college based on your rank and percentile in JEE Mains Examination, held by NTA. You can check the expected percentile on different sites. Finally, once you are confirmed that your percentile required for admission is enough by checking on JAC Delhi's Official Site. Then there comes the whole admission process which you can understand by reading the official information brochure released on JAC Delhi Official Site. Nevertheless, I am giving you some key insights into the Admission Process. 1. Eligibility of The course- a)Region-85% seats are for "Delhi Region".15% for "Outside Delhi Region" b)Education-10th and 12th should be cleared from any "Recognised Board" Minimum Marks (in %) in 10+2 for 60% aggregate in PhyChem, Maths & passed English

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
