What Students Say
Likes
- The best thing is fest in the college which is engifest.
- I also like the sports played here and sports department which organises various competitions
- The environment is good here. You can study and chill after the classes in Nescafe.
Dislikes
- The fees is quite high according to me. The fees is not affordable for an average middle class kid.
- The gender ratio is very bad which is 17:1 for boys and girls respectively.
- Some professors are not good as they teach less but ask more in exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I had an interest in engineering and was curious about coding and wanted to explore it. The student ratio is not good here which is 17:1 for boys and girls respectively. The faculty here is fair, the professors some are very good and on the other side, some can't explain their subject property and are here for only passing time. Term exams include mids and end-sems which are easy to pass if you study regularly and difficult if you don't
Internships Opportunities
Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, tata steel, Deloitte and much more companies come here for internships and placements. The best advice you will get for cracking tech placements is that learn coding from the first year to the second year learn DSA completely and then practice questions on websites like code chefs and geeks for geeks.
Placement Experience
In the third year, students are eligible for internships. The highest package offered here was 1.09 cr which was international and domestic was 50 lpa in the cs department. The packages differ in size according to your branch. More than 95 per cent of students are placed in this college and other students go for government sectors and core jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 2.5 lakh approx for one year which is quite high according to me as one student who is studying here and coming from far places have difficulties affording the fees. I think the fees must be reduced.
Campus Life
This is the best part about this college. Engifest is the official fest of dtu which is conducted every year in the month of February. The organisation of the fest is very good and up to the mark, students only organise it by forming a committee in the college. Big artists are invited to the fest as we have a good budget. Almost all books related to the course are available in the library. The library is good in this college. Every classroom has a projector for presentations. Sports in dtu include volleyball, basketball, football, kabaddi, tennis, badminton, table tennis etc. Sports facilities and the environment is amazing as we have good competition. Engifestdtu is run by Students only.
Admission
To get admission to this college one must clear the exam to jee mains and get a minimum of 80 percentile for the general category for the lowest branch of engineering in this college. Other categories include obc, sc and st for which the percentile varies. For getting admission to this college you must fill out the form on the JAC Delhi website as admission is conducted through them. The admission process is good but improvements can be done like the website interface sometimes being slow which is not up to the mark.
