Dislikes
- I didn't like the way time tables were arranged for our first semester.
- I didn't like how strict the policies are for skipping an exam even if you have a valid reason. In most cases, they do not consider students for make-up exam despite having a valid reason to skip the exam.
- Mental health is not taken as much seriously.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of great placement record that goes beyond the 90% mark. The faculty-student ratio is good enough that even if some professor is absent, you can get a substitute teacher immediately. Faculty member are quite knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their work. Exams are arranged two times every semester. One mid-sem and another at the end of the semester.
Internships Opportunities
I am a first-year student and have just completed only the first semester. Hence, I do not know much about internships. But there are many internship offers made by companies like Swiggy, Zomato, Mahindra, Flipkart, etc. An internship inside the campus is also available.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure during the admission is Rs. 95000 as the admission fee and Rs. 124000 as the balance fee. So, a total of Rs. 219000 for the first year. Scholarships are provided to needy and ambitious students. After filling out the form, an interview with parents is arranged and an appropriate fee waiver is provided.
Campus Life
The main fest of the Delhi Technological University is called Engifest which is quite popular in North India. Around 100000 people gather from various campuses to attend the fest. All classrooms have proper lighting and AC facilities. The campus has a huge sports complex as well. DTU cultural council on Instagram is a student-run page.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is you must clear JEE main with a cutoff percentile. For me, general category, the cutoff percentile was around 98 percentile for the Computer Science Engineering branch. Application form for the entrance exam, that is, JEE MAIN is available on the official website of NTA. The application fee for one attempt is Rs. 650 for the general category. Application dates usually start during the 12th board exams.
