Course Curriculum Overview

4

this course was the one available for my rank at this college and I didn't want to miss such an opportunity to attend DTU. I could have gotten better courses at other colleges but none of them came close to DTU in package availability and the amount. The faculties are high in number. Enough that out of around 36 batches of the first year. No teacher has to teach their subjects to more than 2 batches. They are well educated and got high degrees in their respective subject, no one being lower than M.Tech and their teaching is a bit difficult to understand if you don't have prerequisite knowledge of the topic and if not you have to study the topic at least once after they teach it..to fully understand it. the term exams are timely with them being mid sem exactly in the middle of the semester after half the duration and the end-sem exam at the end of the semester. The difficulty level of passing is pretty high. But if you have studied with effort you can definitely pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total Fee is 2,19,000 rupees in total including tuition fees which is 1,44,000 and various other parts like medical assistance, minority section relief donation and such There are various scholarship opportunities if you are in need of it with enough low income. Dtu concession(tuition fees return), merit-cum-means(100% / 50% / 25% tuition fees according to condition), post matric scholarship (for SC/ST students only &100 per cent fees return)

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests organised in the college with very high attendance not only from the DTU but from other colleges like engifest, freshers, tech week in last 4 months I have been in dtu. College facilities are good with a bit of lacking parts such as the maintenance of washroom but there is visible progress in it. classroom fans and lights work well With there also being some classes with AC. Labs are also well-maintained and clean. There are various societies which organise their events and the application process I also applied to one named DTU consultant society. The seniors taking the interview were nice and friendly.

Admission

Eligibility: First of all we should be science majors in the 11th-12th class and passed the 12th class already. First, you have to register for the JEE (joint entrance exam) and get a sufficient rank to get into the college. If you get the required rank then you have to take part in the counselling process on the portal of JAC Delhi. There are various benefits for the minority castes from the lower cutoff rank to various scholarships to avail. For the cutoff of most colleges and for all castes, you can refer to the site https://www.collegepravesh.com The admission process is nice and easy to understand but the brochure of the whole details of the counselling process can be compiled and uploaded on the site. it can be more helpful which is already done but many important points are left out in it. it will help if they can make videos explaining everything and proved links to them in the site

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Computer Science)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
