Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum here at DTU is pretty good and the faculty is also good. For the first year, it is common for all branches. The curriculum consists of a set of core courses along with electives which students can choose according to their interests. Also, the faculty is not so strict so if you want to explore yourself you can easily do so. The teaching method of professors is average while some professors are very good at teaching and are very knowledgable but the main problem is that some professors are not able to complete the syllabus on time so you need to prepare mid-sem and end-sem on your own.
Internships Opportunities
DTU offers a wide range of internship opportunities. Many companies like google, amazon, sprinkle visits to hire interns under roles like software development, data analysis, and quality assurance. DTU also provide opportunities for research projects and internships with its faculty member. It also helps students to work in multiple roles in a college-incubated startups which is under DTU-IIF.
Placement Experience
Placements in DTU are headline grabbers. Many companies like google, Facebook, amazon, and texas instruments regularly visit the campus. For tech branches, it is as good as iits but for core branches, it is decent, however, if you develop coding skills you can grab a very good package. Students can start applying for placement from the start of the fourth year. Many companies also come internships and students from the third year can apply during summer internships many students are able to PPOs(Pre Placement Offers). During 2022, around 2400 offers were made with an average package of 16 LPA and the Highest package was 1.8 crores. Many students were placed overseas. Every year 80-90% of students easily got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in DTU are very high and the worse part is that it is increasing every year. Currently, fees are 2,19,000 rupees per year which are divided into tuition fees which are 1,40,300 rupees and university fees which are 78,700 rupees. There are many scholarships opportunity but those are completely on the basis of annual family income. The good part is that you can easily get education loans from banks as DTU comes in the premier institute list.
Campus Life
Well when it comes to campus life, DTU will never disappoint you. In one word it is marvellous. The beautiful 164 acres of campus has everything you need. We have many annual fests like yuvaan, Invictus and engifest. Engifest is one of India's largest fest in which many famous artists come and it is conducted during February, Invictus is a tech fest which is also conducted during February just before the engifest. We have one central library from where you can easily get books and journals, there is also a separate library portal through which you can manage your issued books. Classrooms also have all basic amenities like smartboards and all classrooms are air-conditioned and the classroom size is pretty large.
