What Students Say

Likes

Campus life is very good one can socialise and create friends.
So many Fests happens and pretty enjoyable fests and most of the festivals are celebrated too.

Dislikes

Sometimes the faculty is non cooperating
For general category paying up fees is a big deal if they have have not got any scholarship perk

Course Curriculum Overview

IIPS is one of the best institutes in Central India in terms of many things. I chose this course because MCA is one of the popular courses here among students. The faculty here is highly qualified and the teaching methods are good. There are moderate levels of term exams so if one focuses and studies well he/she can pass.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 102000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Various seminars and boot camps are organised each year for internship opportunities for students and for upgrading skills. Various web development companies and entrepreneurs come for seminars that offer internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

The campus placements here are good as the average package is 6 lakh per annum and the highest was from the previous batch 1.13 crore per annum. If you're in the integrated course you're eligible for placements from the 7th semester that's the time when companies arrive for the placement drive. Hundreds of companies arrive here for the placement drive. The percentage of students getting placed is high.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarship options available like the Medhavi scholarship, MPTAAS scholarship for OBC, etc if you're from the reserved category but if one is from a general category then the fees can be costly for him/her.

Campus Life

There are various separate fests for each course but the biggest cultural fest of the year is EXPRESSION and it's so amazing and there's also an annual sports event SYNERGY. There are 2 libraries in the college and wide availability of books and you can also opt for the central library of DAVV. There are so many clubs and each club organises activities from time to time. a student can join up to 4 clubs. Clubs are managed by senior students and a faculty is in charge of the club, you can join them can be part of interesting activities. Classrooms and labs are fine.

Admission

For admission to DAVV, you have to compulsorily give the CUET examination and based on the score of CUET you gets admission at IIPS and any other college of DAVV. Besides that, there is CLC (college-level counselling) which occurs when there are some seats left and admission takes place in CLC on the basis of your 12th class percentage. You can get reservation benefits as it's a government Institute.

My Experience at college

Likes

I like the overall campus environment and the friendly atmosphere of the college. The faculty members and supportive and explain the subjects well. There are also different activities and events where students can participate and interact with others
The infrastructure and basic facilities are good. I also like that the course provides opportunities to learn technical skills and prepare for placements.s

Dislikes

The college experience is good overall, but some areas need improvement. Placement opportunities could be better and more companies should be invited for campus recruitment.
Practical learning and industry-oriented training can also be increased. Sometimes administrative work takes more time than expected.
The infrastructure is decent, but some facilities could be improved and maintained better

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course as good and useful .I chose BCA because it has key areas like coding, data, web work and other IT skills. The course gives a good base for jobs and also helps students who want to study more. The course can be better with more lab work, live tasks and job based skills.Teachers can use more real life cases and demos in class. There are tests and final exams each term. The exam level is fair and can be managed with good study.

My life in Oriental university

Likes

I liked the overall campus environment of the university . The campus is quite large ,clean and has good infrastructure.
The labs in college in are well equipped especially for computer science student . some system have configuration like 16 gb ram .
the faculty member are supportive and helpful. teachers are always ready to guide student , clear doubts and personal situation whenever needed

Dislikes

the quality of mess food is average and sometimes not up to expections. There are limited option and some food combination not liked by students
There are single water cooler in available , which sometimes create problem for both boys and girls.
we are sometimes fined for low attendance ,bunking class or even sitting in the canteen during lecture hours

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is decent but not exceptionsal. it covers the basic and important subject required for the course so you dont get a good theoritical understanding. However some parts of the syllabus feel outdated and fully aligned with current industry requirments. the course had a good mix of course subjects and some practical components on paper which looked promising at the time of admission. The overall structure seemed relevent for building foundational knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum was mix of both outdated and updated somethings the curriculum need to be updated according to today's world it will help in beginner level. Add latest subjects for students to learn.teaching method could be improved with practical knowledge and learning them how things are done. the exam are conducted semester wise and CCE are taken according to teachers when they want

Easy for those who are preparing for other competitive exams

Remarks:

Good thing is if you're preparing for some competitive exam along with your degree this is the best choice since there is no attendance problem. You can join any coaching class a/c to your timingsYou just need to come to the college at the time of practicals, midsems and endsems. Good or bad that is it. But if you're a very concept oriented towards your UG/PG you'll regret taking admission in this college for a longer time. There are no placements provided, no internship offers. Just that rushy job fair that more looks like a city fair where anybody can come and sit at any company's cell at register themselves even boys.

I always wanted to go into the college where I can learn different and interesting things. Honestly, I feel like the students you’re studying with and tasks given by your professors in your college really shape you and change your perspective more than the education structure and syllabus of your course and it will shape you as a whole. The environment and the students I am studying with is too good because they help me to learn different things and change my perspective. And also because this is the best institute to learn management....Read More
