Very good campus life and numerous oppurtunities

The syllabus of computer engineering and Information Technology is almost the same at DTU except with a difference of one compulsory subject in 4th year. The faculties are average. They have mostly completed their PHD. At the end before the exam you have to study all by yourself mostly from youtube. Most of the faculties are supportive and do not create issues for attendance.The student to faculty ratio is almost 60:1. There are two exams held each semester mid-term and end-term and studying 1.5 weeks prior to exams will easily help you fetch good marks. There is also one practical exam held for courses having practical components towards the end of each semester.

Various internships are available on campus. Dtu also provides opportunities for internships in the field of web development/app development, Event management, etc. All major companies including Google, sprinkler, Uber, Goldman, Microsoft, Amazon, etc visit campus at the end of 2nd year to provide internships. The CGPA matters a lot for internships so try to maintain at least an 8.5 CGPA to be on the safer side.

The annual fee of DTU is around 2.2 lakhs for the current year which is raised by about 10k each year. Various scholarships are available for students falling in the low-income category and sc/st students. They can also avail of various scholarships offered by the Delhi government through the E-District portal.

The campus life is very good. Dtu has a lush green campus with all kinds of facilities.The annual fest is called Engifest which experiences a very large footfall and many celebrities perform in tha. This year Amit Trivedi,Sunidhi chauhan and Nucleya were the main artists. The annual techfest is called Invictus and many hackathons are organised in that.the fests usually happen in the month of february.

The admission process is quite smooth. Firstly we, have to give JEE Mains and then register for JAC Delhi counseling where we can fill in our preference of colleges (DTU, NSUT, IIITD, IGDTUW, DSEU) and courses. Based on our JEE Mains rank candidates are allotted to the colleges. There is an 85% reservation for candidates who have completed their class 12th from Delhi (Delhi quota). Also, 27% of OBC reservation is there. For admission to DTU for B.tech one should have PCM as their subject in class 12th along with a minimum aggregate percentage of 60% in class 12th( 55% for OBC) from a recognized board of education.
