Remarks

It was good management i feel. Since it was first year of autonomous, thing were a bit out of place. But it didnt affect studies.

Entrance Preview

CET - 2900 rank opted for this colleage because my bro was already in college this was one of the top ten university and I was living in mysore

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was well structured Mine was the first year of autonomous So the teachers had a flexibility to choose the lessons and curriculum. One such example is for electrical engineering students, machine workshop was scrapped which was a part of Engineering under the VTU. Coming to autonomous, they felt it was no longer required to have groups of Computer science, Information science , Electronics and Electrical.

Internships Opportunities

Internships were not provided in the college as far as i know. But there were chances of doing internships at the companies . The college supported this and the lecturers were supportive in case of any problems.

Placement Experience

5

Placements were the best in the college. Atleast fifty to hundred companies came for placement. TCS took 120-150 people. Companies like TCS, Bosch, Volvo, Deloitte, Wipro, Mercedes, Symbian , yahoo, microsoft participated in the placement activities and the salary was on a good scale.

College Events

5

We had a lot of events in college. IEEE CSI were the most famous technical events. Also, there were chances for students to take part in the events outside college The college fest Jaiciana is the most famous fest in karnataka and each deparment could do their own dept fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was decided by the Goverment . it was 18k per semester and it was not high. But there was also option of paid seats which cost 1lakh per semester. So the total cost of the fee was 72k for four semesters for merit level.Based on category the fee level could be reduced. I wont speak about that here since i donot know how much other paid.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know about this as i did not avail any scholarships or loans. But i had heard people talking about loans as they had availed from different banks. There was a bank in the college premises and i guess it helped people providing loans for the education.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was really good. Gender ratio was well managed. We played a lot of sports organised during the college fests. Different type of sports like cricket, basketball, table tennis were played. Debates were organised too. Workshops were organised during the college groups like CSI and IEEE. We had a temple inside the college .

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I donot know about the hostel facility and i cannot rate it as i did not live the hostel world How can u expect me to fill 250 characters here when i didn't live in a hostel during my engineering. But during my visit to the hostel, i didnt like it that much. The beds were of not that good quality and the ambience was also not that great. But an opinion from a person who has seen hostel life is better than mine.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is really good. I get updates every month from the alumin head about the activities held, the people who joined I can see where the alumnis are currently.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was a bit different. There were three internals in each subject and a final exam. In each internals, we had to pass and in the final exam i guess 40 was the passing marks. But our marks were converted to grades. Exams were chilled out as we had a lot of gaps between exams. Lab exams were not there for us.

Admission

CET counselling. there were two rounds for counselling based on the ranking of CET at Bangalore whatever seats were available ,should be chosen at the counselling. The date of the counselling depends upon the CET rank and since my ranke was within 3k, i was able to get the seat at this college.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty were good. We had experts in each field in the college and the lecturers were easily accessible. Many labs were conducted to give better understanding the lecturers took interest planning for various activities. Some lecturers provided notes which helped understand the topics better.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
