What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure and core facilities like drinking water and washroom is very clean
Transportation and Travelling is easy due to it's perfect suitable location
Natural environment and all campus is easy to access

Dislikes

Only focused on bookies knowledge and less of practical knowledge
Writting too much assignment and journal
There's a exam every 2 months. Syllabus was never completed

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm interested in civil engineering from my High school Times. And due to family and my common interest, I had gone for civil Engineering. The student and facilities ratio is not sufficient enough. There are a lot of proxy lectures. Many faculties is a very young and have done ME in their respective fields. Exams are very easy and boring at the same time. Anyone can pass it with one night's study, Only past years' question is sufficient to pass the exam.

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is a campus placement drive for final-year students. A company like Adani, Reliance, L&T, and Essar construction visited our campus last year. 5 students from our class have been selected as Graduate engineering trainees and salary was more than 5LPA. For internship, There's a compulsory internship program for 8th sem students to gain practical knowledge of their respective fields.

Fees and Financial Aid

All Gujarat Government and Central Government scholarship, Financial helps is available for the students. First-year students get Smart 4G tablets for the just Nominal cost of 1000 rs. And also this amount is refundable if you are belonging to backward castes. Job placement is quite low. An internship also does not help to earn a single penny as a stipend.

Campus Life

2.5

The only good thing I can say about GTU is they only focus on programs and functions and events. You can notice every week some extracurricular events are happening on campus. The library is well maintained. but most students Waste their time in the canteen. As of My knowledge, there are no social groups run by our classmates. All are busy with writing assignment works. So there is no time for such activities

Admission

Although The admission process is done online through the ACPC portal, still there is a lot to be changed. The verification process takes too much time and provides normal support to the students. Not proper guidance is given to the students. Student faces many problems in the admission process.

PDEU , a Sweet n' Sour experience

Likes

The campus is really well built and has good classrooms with air conditioners in every class ensuring student comfort.in
Decent facilities for extra curricular activities like sports and metro connectivity as well.

Dislikes

Same old rigid curriculum that is still being taught in Tier 3 engineering colleges through out the country
Some of the faculty even though they may be knowledgeable themselves, fail to deliver their thoughts in an efficient way to the students
Attendance criteria is relatively strict at around 80% on paper but you can still do with 70+ percentage.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th Semester and companies start visiting at that time. The no. of companies that visit are around 30+ and the highest package offered last time was around 25+ LPA. The average package is 7-8LPA. Some of the companies that visit are Accenture,TCS, Infosys, JP Morgan(students got placed from a Hackathon)

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
