College with good infrastructure

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering in my school life. Technology kind of attracts my attention. The faculty here is good and very professional with a good number of teachers for each subject in each branch. Faculty has mainly a PhD degree and also they are very qualified. Their teaching method is also very updated giving students a good knowledge of their subjects. Exams were conducted every two months or every month and could be passed with basic knowledge of the subject.

Companies like Infosys, IBM, TCS, Wipro, and Nokia provide internships with roles offering like sde, developer, associate software engineer, and QA. Projects are live projects involving freshers to have hands-on experience.

From the 4th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Various companies visited such as Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Accenture, cognizant, and Autodesk which made a number of offers for different profiles. The highest package offered was 33 lakhs and the average package was 5 lakhs for the profile of sde. 100% of students get placed every year. I planned to do the job after getting the degree.

Fees for the first year are high and it is less from the second year onwards. The total cost to study is approx 5-6 lakhs excluding the hostel. The scholarship was provided to some students who have a background in the military or armed forces. Jobs we got on campus were decent with an average package of 5 lakhs. 100% placement is recorded every year.

The annual fest named UNIFEST is conducted every year in the month of April which is the biggest fest in the north and gathers a large crowd. Celebrities visit our campus to give their performance. A big library is there on a college campus having books of all categories. Classrooms are very well furnished with ACs installed. For sports, various teams are there which go every year to participate and compete with other colleges. There are a total of 13 clubs that are run by students for extracurricular performing their duties to carry out any event.

In the room we have attached the washroom, coolers (if it is non-AC), table, chair, bed, fan, and almirah. The menu is kind of mixed with every food provided and its quality is average. For registration in the hostel, a person would be there at the time of admission and will explain everything related to the hostel. I rented a room in a hostel in a locality named sector pi-1.

To apply for the course you just needed a good rank in the AKTU exam. I took the AKTU exams to get to this college. Application forms, fees, and dates could be obtained through the official website of Galgotias. I wanted its admission process to be more smooth.
