I would give an overall rating as Good about the college in terms of faculty, study environment and play areas.
I cleared CET exam and got a state rank of 1524, went to the counselling and opted for the malout govt college.
I opted for B.tech cse batch 2004-2008 anc cleared all the exams with the honors degree, placed from the college in 2007 and joined the company in 2008 in the month of august.
The internship was for 6 months and i did it from Houston technologies. It was in the 7th semester from the month of november to the month of march 2008.
There was joint campus placements held in chandigarh and amritser colleges and around 70% of the students in our colleges were placed in those companies.
There was a tech fest organised in our college and we participated in that tech fest as well. The fest was very successful and started occuring every year.
Fee structure was not so expensive, affordable by middle class family. Moreover the cost of living was reasonable in the city and had many good food jucntions where one could easily get good food.
Yes, the loan facility is being offered by most of the govt/private banks though i didnt opted for study loan but few friends of mine took the loan.
The campus was fantastics and fully equipped with the sports area, a open hall and labs where students can get a good exposure to work and play area.
The food was good but not the best, there were few days when they serve not so good food and we guys had to go outside to restaurants for dinner/lunch.
There has been a few seniors/juniors who are in touch with me on facebook or gmail. Most of them are working with top MNCs in the metropolitan cities in india.
The exam structure was good and the sitting arrangement and the examiners who conducted the exams were quiet strict and fair towards their work.
The college faculty was awesome and the professors were very knowledgeable and always ready to help and support the students. The professors always set a high standard to give their 100% in their job.
From the 3rd semester, you are eligible for an internship. TCS, Infosys, Samsung etc are available here but if are taking admission here you should mainly focus on exams like gate etc. average package is 20k per month and the max is 1 lakh so it's not good. 50% are getting placed every year but mainly students are focused on sports or government exams. I want to run my startup but the primary focus is on gate exam and skill development.
From the 3rd year of your engineering, you are eligible for your campus placement if you have a CGPA above 7.5. Throughout the year many companies visiting universities for hiring and TCS is major among all. You can also see hirers like Microsoft and Amazon. Last year the highest pakage offered was 43lpa and placements went off with an average pakage of 3.5LPA. I don't know the exact percentage of placement but could say it was decent. At current, I am wondering a job at google.
More than 90 percent of students get placed in Computer Science and Engineering. The average package is above 12 lakhs per student. IIT ROPAR is ranked 25 in engineering institutes ranking by NIRF. Overall 80 percent or more students get placed per year. I am planning for research after MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
Our college had zero percent ranging record. Faculty is nice supportive.
It's a government university and it was the only government institute where I could get B. Tech(CSE) with 69 JEE score. I wished to pursue Computer Sciences only. I had options of some private institutes but I opted for the government one.
Nirf Ranking of the college. Placement records of the college and the companies coming in campus. The well known infrastructure and faculty of the college. Opportunities to grow my skills and myself. It is near to house too. And in my marks it was best what i can get.
You shouldn't think twice if you're getting admission in GZSCCET Bathinda which now is under MRSPTU PUNJAB. A good chance of being placed, a wonderful and friendly atmosphere to add on with. Overall this college has all what an ideal college should have.
Studies and placements can be better. Transport facilities is only available during day which creates lots of issues for students. We have to come timely in order to catch the bus otherwise its too difficult to came back hostel.
Although it was privately funded institution, Khalsa engineering college provided best facilities for students to nurture their talents and obtain requisite skills for progressing ahead in life. We owe it to them. If anything can be improved it is the placement opportunities and hostel facilities that need a bit of touch.
The bad thing about my college is that the college is situated to far from tha main place.sp transport ficilty is not good other wise the college is good.
