Course Curriculum Overview
Since CS is in demand and I got 99.5 percentile so I chose CS. In the first year don't expect very good teachers. Students mostly study themselves. Most teachers are highly qualified. But from 2nd year the faculties are good and helpful. For exams, you can score well if you study 1 week before mid-sem and 2 weeks before end-sem. As far as the student ratio is concerned it's 71:4 in my class.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship opportunities available in 2nd year. It's easier if you are in cs or it as compared to other branches. Sprinklr offers 2lakh a month as a stipend to their interns. Microsoft offers 70k per month to an intern (SDE role). It's easier for a girl to get into Microsoft as they have various programs running for girl students. For internships, you have to make a major project for your cv and learn a language. For placement, faang companies offer above 50 LPA, and Uber, and Ola offer 30 LPA. In 2022 apple came with an on-campus offer of 75 LPA. BCG offers above 30 LPA. All these companies visit our campus every year.
Placement Experience
Usually, you can sit for placement in the 4th year but you can grab a PPO in 3 Rd year during internships. Roughly 200 companies visit our campus including faang companies and all major MNCs offering packages above 50lpa. Over 1500 offers are made . Almost all students get placed. The highest package goes around 1.2 cr. Around 5-6, students get this and the lowest is around 6lpa. The average package is around 12 LPA. For the tech branch, it's around 16 LPA. So if are doing good don't worry about placements. If you don't want to sit for the placement you can go for higher education. Recently startup culture is also developing in our college. Many societies are focusing on it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college provides many scholarships. Some are given to batch toppers. Some are for ews candidates ( that's being given by the Delhi govt. It's called mcm) Fee for 4 yrs is around 9 lakhs in 2023. It may increase next year. Apart from scholarships, you can get internships. Some are provided by DTU only for like 25 k for 3 months. Otherwise, companies offer you 2 lakhs to 50k a month for internships. And during the placement, you can get as high as 1 cr per year to 12 LPA. Depends on your skills.
Campus Life
As far as infrastructure is concerned DTU has I think the best infra among all jac colleges. New buildings have been constructed and they are fully air-conditioned with glass panels. A new auditorium raj spin hall has been opened with a capacity of 3000 students. Apart from these Pragya Bhawan was constructed last year and that's also fully airconditioned. So infra is pretty good. The library here is also too big and you can find most of the books here. There are ample extracurricular activities here. Do whatever you want. And for clubs and societies, there are some good and some not so good. But you can join tech societies. Overall campus life here is cool.
Admission
You can take admission via JEE Mains in this college. But you have to score good marks for the CS stream. This is conducted by NTA only. There is a standard reservation as there are in other colleges. But it's possible shortly girl reservation may come. The classes usually start late as compared to private colleges. So your first sem syllabus will be covered in 3 months.
