Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm pursuing B.Tech in CSE at DTU and there's nothing new that they are teaching to the first years but of course, I have started coding and the academic pressings aren't much so it is easily manageable. There are 75 students in one batch and one professor teachers a whole bunch of 75 students but they are experienced so they can manage. The exams are way easy than I thought and you can score above 90% just pay attention to the lecture and that's enough

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships here are great. Apple provides internships with a stipend of 1.5 lakh. Per month which is huge for an intern. The minimum stipend to my knowledge was 25k per month. You just to maintain a good cgpa to get an internship in the third year.

Placement Experience

4

After 4th semester, I think the students are eligible for internships and placements. Apple, Samsung, google, and amazon all big companies visit the campus and provide good offers. You have to keep yourself prepared and score well to be able to get there. The highest package in my knowledge is about 1.4 crores and the average package is around 20lpa. In case, I think 90% of students were placed last year. I want to work at Apple so I think I have to work extra hard because Apple only provides 3 offers here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees personally I feel are a bit high. Coming from a middle-class family paying Rs. 2,19,000 is a huge amount and the college gives very less time to pay the fees like 4-5 days. This is something the administration should look into. Since I'm general category I don't get any scholarships other than being the highest grader to reduce some fees.

Campus Life

4

The life at the campus is solid. The annual cultural fest is ENGIFEST which is north India's biggest fest and they also have some other fests like YUVAAN the literature and film-making fest and Invictus the technical fest of DTU. These are not just it there's more of the fest and I cannot mention all of them here. The library is great. It got all types of books you'll ever need. The classroom is equipped with a fully functional ac and projector so won't be a problem to adjust here. Aahvaan is the sports fest of it and it's the best fest after Engi. The sports are good but you need to make up time to be there.

Admission

I was preparing for jee main and advanced since class 11th and all these two years I only prepared for it. Didn't focus on boards or any other exam. You can only pursue B.Tech through jee mains in this college and have to get a rank under 10000 if you live in Delhi but for outside Delhi students you have to get a rank under 5000 to get admission here. This is a state government-funded university so there is an 85% state quota. You must prepare for jee advanced too. I do not remember exactly but the fee for registration for jee mains is around 1000 for the general male candidates and 800 for a general female candidate. You must keep checking the NTA site for any information and details about jee mains and advanced. Í thinking the only improvement NTA can do is to release the admit cards earlier and allot nearby centers to the applicants.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Too much of academic pressure and couldn’t score enough to get a rank under 100 in Jee advanced

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
