Course Curriculum Overview

5

Frankly, I chose this course becoz of rank and also ECE is best after tech branches and I didn't want to go into tech branches. The best thing is we have 3 paths ie core, tech, and a consultancy where big 4 companies like Deloitte also recruit. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:96 and it becomes around 1:68 in further years. All professors are highly qualified and publish many research papers every year still Frankly all professors are not good, those old ones who are bored of teaching the same subject for years are also there, PHD scholars who are their assistants are generally enthusiastic in teaching since they have more energy and realte to students problems, The course curriculum is quite relevant to today's industry needs. The difficulty level is relatively less as compared to iit's bcoz the curriculum is relatively lighter and also all the students are not top rankers and got admission due to state domicile. So it is best for those who just want to find out his/her passion, will get exposure.

Internships Opportunities

4

At end of the second year, many companies come to offer internships, even top MNCs like google comes. Some of them are commission based but the average internship stipend at dtu is 45k. We have to show projects that we have done to get internships, they can be very basic, like just making a website for a local reseller.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement at DTU is really great, it comes just after the top 4-5 legacy iit's and is better than the rest 17-18 iits. Majorly most of the students get placed, generally, only those who don't take a job and want to pursue higher education like MBA/M Tech. The placement percentage is 95%. I would like to do a startup after my degree and become an entrepreneur.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are increased now, its 8.94 lac for 3 years, approx 2.35lac each year. it's a bit more but completely worth it, easily students can earn it in just one year after placement. They get a great college life in return. Scholarships are very good, and DTU scholarships and Govt scholarships like MCM are easily getable. Extracurricular activities are great, but each society takes them to another level.

Campus Life

5

Engifest is now the biggest cultural fest of north India, in 2023 it managed an even bigger crowd than the fest of iit Delhi. IIt Delhi shoes like of Guru Randhawa got cancelled whereas we got artists like Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, Nucleya, DGimmortals. Events are great, almost every other weekend an event there of various societies, like Yuvaan, ESummit, Fortune- Financial Fest, and Invictus- Tech Fest. DTU Library is one of the most iconic buildings with glass walls and a semicircular three floors shape. It has thousands of books both general and related to the curriculum also. Classrooms are also great, new classrooms like SPS/Pragya Bhavan are also made, fully air-conditioned with a projector in each class. The sports complex is great, all courts are there like cricket, football, kabaddi, TT, Badminton, Gymnasium, and Nets for cricket practice. Resources is a great website run by students it has all important notes, lectures, and youtube links which help immensely in exams.

Admission

A student must have PCM in 12th, should give Joint Entrance Exam Jee Mains for admission in DTU, for application submit on the NTA website and then for admission register on the JAC Delhi website. 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi domicile students(who have been given 12th from Delhi) and then the other cast reservation ratio is the same as in other govt colleges. One improvement that can be done in the admission process is that it took more than 1.5 months due to several rounds, but it should be made faster if possible.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
