Remarks
The eligibility of the course was listed on the college website, based upon the CAT percentile and all the background they needed, the relative markings also were listed on the website and the diversity marks of female candidates were also given. the application form is automatically filled when you fill up the CAT form and based upon the results of your CAT you are invited for the PI process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very strict and you will be engaged in some or the other activity the whole day and the faculty is also very good and helpful, the projects that they give are very relevant to the industry's needs. The institute follows the trimester form of course in a year and there are mid-term and end-term examinations in each term. Also, there would be a final project for each subject which has to be submitted at the end of the term, and the regular assignments and case studies that are very much done regularly.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities start from the day you enter the college, the live projects would run from time to time. And the summer internship program starts from the month joining of the college and the batch also prepares for the SIP from time to time.
Placement Experience
The placements have surged very quickly as compared to other 3rd gen IIM and we have achieved a very good YoY growth, currently, we are on 16.43Lpa and the top-notch recruiters are coming every year and the new recruiters also showing confidence in IIM Jammu.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is given on the website itself and it has to be submitted at the start of each term, there are loan facilities available from each bank as it's an IIM so each bank would give the loan without any collateral and very easily you can avail, lower than the market rate for other colleges loans. Scholarships from time to time have been forwarded by the administration, you need to fill that out to avail of the scholarship.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very good, you could see one or the other thing going on at every point in time, and even the students are very active, there is a total of 14 committees and around 21 clubs that work with the administration to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel accommodation is good enough but as the permanent campus I going to be ready this year we will be getting separate rooms with all the facilities and also the mess provides food 4 times a day and the quality is also good, the variety that they provide is very much accepted by the students.
Interview Experience
Yes, at the time of admission the PI process for the CAP was there and in that 2 panes were there, asking relevant current affairs questions, the questions on my Economics background, and why do you want to do MBA.
