Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good the faculty is highly educated and from diverse backgrounds and also from renowned universities. They have relevant teaching experience. They all give emphasis on practical education rather than bookish knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunity starts in 2nd week itself and continues till the last week of the year. there was the variety of role that was offered by the companies such as management trainee, marketing intern and etc.
Placement Experience
IIM JAMMU offers great campus placement opportunities and final placement start from the 5th semester talking about the placement report we have had 25% growth since last year. The average placement was 1650000.
Fees and Financial Aid
yes, there is a fee hike this year it is because the funding from the government has stopped and the campus is still under construction and also, the batch size has also increased this year. I didn't find any financial aid this year but I heard it was last year.
Campus Life
Life at iim Jammu is fun we have different activities apart from academic activities. We the student body organize different events such as cultural events, sports events student picnics, blood donation camps and etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is not good we are staying in a 5 sharing room also the washroom is our major concern and also there is always some problem with the mess food. But all these issues are because we are in a transit campus it will all be shorted once we shift to our permanent campus.
Admission
It was a rigorous admission process through CAT. After CAT there was a gd/pi process. The admission is totally based on ranking, like what percentile you got plus your score in pi also academic diversity and work experience matter.
Interview Experience
Yes, I faced an interview, because of covid, the group's discussion and writing ability test couldn't take place. The interview question was based on my background knowledge of my graduation and on my interests and hobbies.
