Decent

Course structure should be improved. Faculty should be improved.

I scored 98 marks in JEE Mains, I chose this college because it is my best possible option and close to my home.

The courses structure of computer science is not good at all. First and a half year is a complete waste. They keep on teaching some irrelevant subjects like physics, philosophy, human virtues which are completely useless. However there are some relevant subjects as well. But according to me the course structure can be improved according to the need of the industry.

I don't know much about the internship. But I think my college do provide internship and general stipend is about 2000-5000, but I am not sure of this.

Placement is decent. But I prefer for off campus placement, because as of now only TCS and Wipro visit here. I think they're trying to do improvement and job opportunities. But that's not a issue, if you work real hard and get skilled nothing can stop you. Find the field that you find interesting and work hard.

These are some events that are coming to my mind right now Resurgence, annual cultural and sports festival of SMVDUTitiksha, annual Technical festival of SMVDU Tatva, Annual Management Festival

Fee structure is not very feasible.. The tuition fee we are paying is 60, 000 per year, hostel fee is 20000 per year for single room, and the mess fee is 28000 per year. The fee has been hiked somewhat for our junior batches. Apart from it there are some security fees , on time fees etc.

Top ten percent of students in each class are awarded scholarship with tuition fee waiver ranging from 100% to 50% subject to fulfillment of merit restrictions

Talking about the overall college, girls are more than the boys but in computer science department the gender ratio is almost equal.Extracurricular is very good. Lab equipment are not an issue but again some lab courses are completely useless. Sports are okay okay. Many competitions are organised in the university like debate, acting, robotics, coding, photography and many more

Hostel facilities are not an issue at all. Hostel fees in low. Rooms are good and there are facilities like table tennis, badminton, Nescafe etc. in the hostel. Mess food is also tasty not very bad. But there is one wrong thing about the hostel, the fees of singlets, doublets and triplets are all same.

Seniors are the only best thing about this college. Most of them are very very helpful and they try very hard to help their juniors.

Theory exams and lab exams are very frequent. almost after every month exams come. In a semester, there are three phases of exams. Two minor exams 20 marks each and 1 major exam 50 marks each and 10 marks for quiz and assignment and lab exams are of 100 marks each.

I got admission be filling out the admission form for the college. They called me and told the date of the counselling and on the day, I gave all the necessary documents(like 12th class mark sheet, JEE score card etc.) and after that deposited the fee and that's it, I became an SMVDUian.

Faculty is decent. Some of them are very good, some are average and some are below average as well. But the faculty members are very helping. All you need is to ask. Though some teachers are very bad. They even get angry if the student asks a question and they don't know it. They even say what kind of non sense question is that.
