IILM UNIVERSITY, Greater Noida - A step closer to your dream

I loved the craftsmanship of a biotechnologist, so I too wanted to go into research and development programs hence I opted for Btech biotechnology at IILM University. It's the best place to gain knowledge and make yourself future-ready with great exposure. There are a good lot of biotechnology faculties who are highly experienced and highly qualified, almost all of them are Ph.D. holders with great knowledge, provide great guidance, and are student-friendly. They make the subject interesting with crystal clear topics which are easy to learn and grasp since they use many different practices to make learning interesting. Since I am AKTU affiliated I have to give 2 sessional exams each in a month and then end-semester exams. Those who are directly from the university have to give one mid-semester exam and then one final semester exam. Exams are good enough since they cover each topic/unit of equal weight. So if you have studied well u can score good marks and get an excellent ranking.

IILM University offers many internships with companies with 1st hand experience, and hands-on jobs. It provides both online as well as offline internships. Companies like rapture, Biocon, and Infosys, all provide internships. Our University makes us familiar with all the upcoming internships from IIT'S, BHU, CSIR, etc. mostly providing stipends. We can do projects, we can get hands-on practice experience with certificates that we can further add to build up a strong resume.

Generally from the 4th year onwards, a student in IILM University starts to get placed in good company with good packages but few students get placed in the 3rd year. This University has signed MoU with many companies like Biocon, bikano, rapture, and allele, for CS they have TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, and many more. The highest package received was 18 Lakhs per annum and a minimum of at least 3 to 4 lakhs per annum. There are almost 60-70% of students who get placed either on campus or out of campus other students generally opt for higher studies. I want to pursue higher studies, by qualifying for an entrance exam like GATE. Many students from IILM University have qualified GATE exam and currently pursuing their master's and other higher degrees.

IILM University, Greater Noida is an affordable university with great exposure to student's life. In 2021 when I joined my course fees for Btech biotechnology were approx. 1,02,600/- INR per year hence approximately 4,00,000/- INR for 4 years with hostel fees of 54,000/- per year. Now recently in 2022, B.Tech course fees were 1,50,000/- INR per year hence a total of approximately 6,00,000/- INR for 4 years of degree excluding hostel fees. Students can get scholarships on their tuition fees according to their grades/percentage in 12th standard or marks scored in the entrance examination. College life is full of events and social gatherings at IILM University, Greater Noida. The annual fest is IGNITE, a 3-5 days event, where a huge crowd participates in many different activities like selling your creativity, poster making, and tech fest like hackathon which itself is of around 24 hours and is solely for coders. It gives us great exposure since with events this university is A one in academics also since there are 2 libraries on our campus with a good collection of many relevant books for each course. The classrooms are equipped with more than one AC, projector, and whiteboard in almost every section. In this university, there are many clubs like maths, social, picture, cs, bio club, beats and moves club, etc. run by student coordinators under proper guidance and support of faculty assigned to that club. Not just this, many sports events like badminton tournaments, cricket tournaments, volleyball, and basketball matches are also held, with a great organization.

A student can take admitted to IILM University in Greater Noida, in various programs offered by the university like BBA, MBA, LAW, LIBERAL ARTS, and ENGINEERING (various courses). One can take admission through either of the two ways of their admission process. One way is through your marks scored in the 12th exam which should be 50% and above (general) and 45% and above (SC/ST/OBC) and the other one is through the entrance examination. You get scholarships as per your marks either in the 12th or in the entrance examination. I got a 40% scholarship since I got 90% above marks in my 12th standard.
