Remarks

College management was fairly good. We could have directly walked into out HOD's cabin or principals cabin if required. Also the principle was not that strict , he was open minded and understanding. HOD was great. Lecturers were mostly ex-students of that college and localities and hence very helpful. every college has good and bad things but over all management is good.

Entrance Preview

Entrance test - CET Not sure , may be i ranked around 6K. One of my senior and very close friend was in this college and hence i opted for it too

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is hectic . Most colleges in Karnataka are affiliated to VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) . Its known for tough syllabus and exams as well. Course structure indeed had all that an Eng student would need to learn. Focus was on mathematical and theoretical subjects.

Internships Opportunities

No their was no internship offered at least for our branch . may be mechanical and other branches had.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement was OK 1 many of them had got into reasonable companies. Our college HR was a bit questionable but students got into companies based on their own intelligence . College did help students to get interviews but it was limited to toppers only. Average students had to workout for themselves.

College Events

4

Events were conducted on a daily basis. We also newly started inter college fest which was initiated by our college. Blood donation camps , sports fest. Annual fest . then fest specific to branches were also conducted. our lecturers were pretty open to news ideas and also financially backed us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

it was flexible. for me it was 18090 per year which is fairly cheap.plus the college fees which was collected separately was also flexible compared to amenities provided. There were no extra fees collected for anything else. All had the same fees structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I never availed for study loan. Not sure whether my college offered any. Mostly they were offered by college based on marks obtained.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was great. there were no restrictions on ground usage timings etc. you can play or use the field as much as you want. moreover we had two big grounds and hence playing was never a problem. extracurricular activities were always encouraged. We always had something or the other fest every month and this would keep us engaged.

Hostel Facilities

4

I never lived in college hostel. Some of my friends did and it seems that they were not good. However i lived outside and we used to have food in hostels in campus area. Food was good outside and you had many options from cheap to costly. Because there were many hotels they had competitions as well.

Exam Structure

Yes ! we had frequent exams . Three internal exams every year which would cover the whole syllabus. Lecturers also would have surprise exams to keep students on their toes. lab exams were also conducted regularly. This was not only for one subject but for all of them.

Admission

Appeared for CET based on my rank got a government seat in this college. Fees was very less about 18090 per year. Paid the fees at CET in Bangalore got the receipt which was submitted at college and then some formalities . there is no form to be procured from college before admission. First you are suppose to get the CET form , fill and submit it. Then start studying for CET exam . Syllabus for CET exam is all that you learned in diploma. Because i was in diploma our CET is different. Once ranked in CET appear for exam and based on your rank you can select the college you want to join

Faculty

4.5

Faculty over all was good . Every college has its good and bad lectures but in our college we had good lectures for important subjects. Most of the times Engineering students find mathematics difficult but our college had the best maths lecturer . so had no problem. Plus we had free extra tuition for all maths papers.

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.
