Remarks

College management is good in building the academic portion and torturing students with tough subjects and placements. High fees for all backgrounds Id card purchase fee, Exam fee etc. Closed gates and watch men are like IAS and IPS given all rights to act against students by management.

Entrance Preview

I have cleared ECET- it is for entering to engineering 2nd year after completing diploma.I have done with ECET very bad and got the least rank 4658 as branch rank(ECE) and 20000 rank on the whole with all branches. I have chose this college because my father friend who suggested me to do diploma in ECE also suggested to do engineering at vardhaman college of engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is very tough. Different subjects compared to JNTUH. Different examination dates and semester and exam questions and marks patterns. Correction was very strict. High supplementary fees. There was an elective subject every semester from 3 year and it would an easy subject which we all chose asking our seniors. The elective subject gain changes very frequently every year if they wish.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provide internships but they are very few. It may be 2 or 3 companies and gain offering for only 2 or 3 candidates. The minimum duration would be 1 month and maximum duration would be 1 year. They would be working as intern from ending of 3 year. It would be again pure coding which would only be cracked by cse students. It would be very tough. Example: Flipkart, MAQ ectc. The minimum stipend would be 15k and maximum would be 50k. Students are given full attendance and the company would give them leave for exams and preparation as well.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities are high. Most of CSE students would be placed then IT and then ECE and rest all branches are by luck by chance. However at the end every hardworking student would definitely be placed in this college by his own or professors efforts and recommendations. If the candidate is good at sports and any extra circular activities than his or her chance of getting placed is also high.

College Events

1

Vardhaman is very bad in celebrations. Management has lot of money but does not invest in celebrations. Students contribute and arrange very small concerts with small celebrities. Tech fest and cultural fest are two fests celebrated in vardhaman. Tech fest is of three days. Cultural fest is of two days. Cultural fest is good to have fun and attire of all students would be awesome that is traditional dress. sarees and kurta. Tech fest is good for showcasing our talent. For tech fest other college students are allowed but for cultural fest not allowed. Fests strict rules we need to carry id card through out the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Admission fee for management is too high. Donation is high. The selling of seats for management quota is very high. Library fees is high, Hostel fee is high, Semester fee is high, Exam fee is high, supplementary exam fee is too high. Bus fee is too high. When i joined in 2013 the fee was 70000 per annum. Hostel fee was 50000 per annum, Bus fee was 25000 per annum. Records, xerox, print all stationary too expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Vardhaman college doesn't offer a penny to students in any form nor the college nor by sponsors. It is only Telangana government or any government from which student belongs gets reimbursement of 35k and rest need to pay by our own.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ration was 2:3, F:M. No extra circular activities except NSS, that is also for show off. No attendance who are attending, it is only for candidate who are toppers and has attendance to cover the absent-ism of that day. No sports at all in the college. We have a big cricket and football stadium but it is only given for rents for professionals. It is only used for 20 days in an year by students that too, a single match played by single section. Only 11 members per class section. No student gets attendance to play that single day also. There are no crowd to cheer match as no attendance for cheerers. That games are also ruled by pt and seniors. Seniority and branch feelings dominate the event. Labs are only to experiment which is in our records. Competitions on robotics and etc only on tech fest day.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel friends told me that hostel facilities and hostel food was good. But no one was happy because of rules and regulations of the hostel. Every one use to be for 1 year as there parents paid money and lest out to rooms, other pg's and hostels then after.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are good for nothing, They come they roam they enjoy they leave.. As juniors timings in 1st year are different to other year students even the lunch time. We have no eye contact nor we could not see a single 1st year student. Strict rules and actions against who try to talk to 1st year student.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very unfair. The question paper would be very tough and correction more tough than question paper. The fee is horrible for both regular and supplementary. Very high The 1 hour time for internals. 3 hours for external. Time duration is okay but very strict to be there before half an hour of exam time. If not then the candidate will not be allowed to attend exam. Id card and hall ticket must else not allowed to exam. Allowed to get from exam office a duplicate copy of hall ticket but a big procedure to get a letter sign from hod and submit in exam office and show it to invigilator. If its is late then not allowed to exam. Passing marks are 40/100. Minimum from external exam is 27/75 and maximum is 75/75. Student need to study all chapters and all topics as student have no option to leave any question from any chapter as they are five chapters and each chapter has two question hence total 10 questions. Student need to chose from two questions in each chapter.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is not so good in terms of encouraging poor academic candidates. They only encourage who already performed good at previous exams. Faculty is highly eligible for the post and they teach excellently. They take the students as a book worm and want the student to only study and respect them. They teach the chapters very slow and in depth at start and as the holidays come and exams come near they finish the rest of the chapters within days. They cover rest all topics in one single day also. They ask us to come on holidays if they does not finish the topics to be covered. They have targets and for that they will harass us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
